The final images for this set of Seele cosplay Convention photos from Honkai Impact 3rd shot on the 28th have finally arrived. Crafting and wearing this red-and-black outfit involved considerable effort. My biggest headache was the giant scythe prop, coated in metallic black lacquer and chained with genuine iron links. It was heavier than expected; swinging it slightly off-angle easily compromised my balance. Yet for optimal visual effect, I pushed through to hold high poses and side-sweeps.
Regarding makeup, I deliberately adjusted eyeshadow and lens colors to complement the black-and-red gradient of the wig. The black floral hair ornament on the side featured an embedded crimson eye-shaped accent; though small in detail, it caught high-contrast lighting dramatically, heightening mystery and sharpness. The top's textured patterns were constructed from specialized material, reflecting a subtle dark-gold sheen as sunlight streamed through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Lower body styling served as another key highlight. Black-and-red spliced gradient Stockings paired with high-heeled boots and layered ruffled miniskirts visually accentuated leg lines in seated poses. For instance, in shots taken sitting on the carpet with legs extended or slightly bent, metal rings and red rose decorations on the skirt richly enhanced visual depth. Standing poses fully displayed the scythe's complete silhouette, while the single-handed weapon raise highlighted prop scale.
The venue was an indoor mall atrium where expansive floor-to-ceiling glass provided gentle diffuse natural light; overcast or evening light rendered skin texture softly. The photographer excelled at angle capture, utilizing high and low perspectives. Placing a white plush rug over cold tiles created a soft ambient rim light, beautifully emphasizing skirt hem and footwear details.
Truth be told, the shoot was quite exhausting. Frequent pose adjustments and skirt rearranging often got caught in mechanical crinoline structures. Real metal chains hanging across chest and waist repeatedly slipped, clattering against props or floor. Achieving a sleek look required constant manual adjustments. Half-glove arm guards sewn by the prop artisan had raw edges that demanded cautious handling to avoid scratches.
Despite the grueling shoot, seeing final Convention photos with high outfit fidelity harmonizing with the backdrop brought great satisfaction. Red and black aesthetics naturally support high-contrast lenses, while the long-handled scythe anchors visual tension across the frame. Though gear was heavy and left my back sore, faithfully expressing Seele's dark yet steadfast spirit from Honkai Impact 3rd validated all preparation. Next time, I hope to explore wider motion dynamics, as action-oriented weapon characters differ vastly between static poses and dynamic captures. That wraps up today's share; I aim to document more costume details and behind-the-scenes moments ahead.
