[Moriya Suwako cosplay] Touhou Project Straight from the Stock camera: No-Filter Base Makeup Challenge

This Stock camera archive completely simulates photos shot straight from a phone's front camera without any beauty filters. To withstand the Stock camera, I gave special care to the base makeup: first using concealer to cover natural redness and dark circles, applying liquid foundation, setting it firmly with loose powder, and reapplying setting spray midway. The close-up in Photo 3 shows the makeup's intact finish, completely free of oil-induced creasing or patchiness.

Eye makeup was a crucial component: I wore large-diameter golden-yellow colored contacts, drew thicker eyeliner, and applied heavier lashes, deliberately slanting the outer eyeliner slightly downward and defining the lower lashes with an eyeliner pencil to make the eyes appear larger. Paired with red blush applied right beneath the eyes, the entire facial contour resembled a 2D scale figure. For lips, a light glassy lip tint gave a glossy, hydrated look.

The dress costume is full of intricate details: the outer layer features purplish-red and white sheer tulle ruffles, while the inner lining uses fabric interwoven with gold threads. The blue bow at the chest is paired with a gold hollowed brooch, with the hanging pearl necklace directly secured to the garment. The collar area is somewhat stiff, lightly prickling the neck when standing. The hat was heavier than expected, edged with white lace and tied with red tassels bearing two golden bells at the ends that jingle crisply whenever I turn my head. The wig features light-golden hair with neat blunt bangs.

During the shoot, I held that long golden staff, which has fine surface textures and felt slightly slippery to grip, requiring a firmer hand pose in Photo 2. The setting was very casual—right inside a bedroom with the bed, plushies, and cardboard boxes visible in the background. We took several shots on the bed; the finger gesture in Photo 1 was deliberately posed, while standing by the bed with the prop in Photo 2 provided a more complete composition, gazing into the lens to achieve the desired atmosphere. The complexity of this styling was noticeably higher than usual, especially taking considerable time to adjust the hat and brooch. Though the entire look felt heavy after shooting, its faithful recreation of Touhou fanon design was immensely satisfying.
