Two months after Anime Expo, I finally sorted through these Touhou Project Reimu Hakurei Cosplay convention photos! Shot under the scorching convention sun, seeing the final images made all the effort worthwhile. Summer fits Reimu so naturally, so instead of the heavy traditional miko robes, I opted for a breezy, casual Summer outfit to bring a fresh perspective to this classic Anime girl.

The ensemble features a pure white short-sleeved tee with sheer, breathable mesh sleeves that catch the sunlight, printed with a bold red character '夏' alongside 'NATSU'. To echo her iconic palette, I styled it with a red leather belt featuring a silver grommet ring buckle, letting the long belt tail drape loosely down the side. The bottom is an asymmetrical, multi-layered pastel-blue tulle skirt adorned with red floral patterns, subtly showcasing leg contours without visual clutter. For accessories, straight black hair and blunt bangs are crowned by an oversized red bow and flanking hair ornaments, paired with a black choker accented by a tiny Taiji yin-yang pendant, red chunky-heeled lace-up sandals, and a colorful beaded wristband.

Bathed in bright daylight casting clear reflections across the terrazzo floor, the shoot moved from a quiet semi-crouching pose with hands gently placed over the chest to an energetic standing shot shading my eyes with a radiant smile. Huge thanks to photographer Shenrou for these incredible Convention photos, balancing lighting and composition with utmost care. Interpreting beloved Touhou Project lore through a casual lens made every heat-drenched moment at the con truly special.
