[Maki Nishikino cosplay] White idol uniform cosplay convention stage record - Image 1

This time at the cosplay convention, I cosplayed Maki Nishikino from Love Live!, choosing that classic white idol uniform. The clothing details are very rich: a white sleeveless shirt paired with a bright blue tie, both the tie and the decorative strips around the waist have a glitter texture, which creates a great reflective effect under the lights. On the head is a brimless sailor hat decorated with white feathers, and the lower body is a white-based pleated miniskirt with blue stripes and metal buckles, with light blue cape fabric added on the side. The feet are paired with beige lace-up long boots and blue calf socks, and the overall color scheme is a very refreshing idol uniform style.

During the shoot, to show the tension of the idol stage, I designed a half-squatting pose with my right hand raised to gently touch my forehead and my left hand extended forward. This action looks easy, but in fact, the center of gravity must be pressed onto the left leg, and the core must be tightened, otherwise it is easy to sway. The slit design of the skirt hem can just reveal a part of the leg lines when squatting, which, paired with the long boots, visually appears more upright. Doing this action at the cosplay convention site required overcoming the noisy surrounding environment and completely immersing oneself in Maki Nishikino's confident and slightly tsundere idol temperament.

I would like to express my special thanks to professional photographer Qingfeng Photography V for this shoot. The lighting environment at the site was actually quite dim, but the photographer made great use of the dark background and brought out the subject's facial and costume glitter details through fill lighting. The snapshot at the moment the shutter was pressed was extremely precise, retaining both the dynamic sense and the light texture. In terms of wig and makeup, red hair paired with blue contact lenses is the standard configuration, and the focus of the makeup was placed on deepening the eye contours. To get closer to the character's temperament, I also deliberately maintained a sense of calmness and confidence in my expression management.

Wearing this outfit and walking around the cosplay convention for a day, although the long boots were tiring for my feet, being able to shoot this set of Maki Nishikino's idol uniform finished photos made the whole process totally worth it. The material and color matching of this outfit are indeed very suitable for stage spotlighting, and I will continue to study how to combine body language with post-processing light and shadow to present the character more perfectly in the future.
