[Xilonen cosplay] Genshin Impact Convention photos: Center of Gravity Control with Cat ears and High Heels

First drop of Convention photos, sharing my shooting experience and event shots for this Genshin Impact Xilonen cosplay. The trickiest part of this gear was definitely the shoes: the heels are quite high, and combined with the leg covers and straps, finding my balance was very tough. Standing to shoot was exhausting, so I switched on the spot to a seated leg-lift pose, which was not only more stable but also completely showcased the details of the lower half. The hair features long, light-golden wavy curls paired with fluffy Cat ears. The makeup emphasized eye contours and curled lashes, which paired with red contacts to give a sharper look. The top is a white and gold patchwork piece accented with a black choker and armbands, featuring rich frayed hem details that add a fluffy texture. The bottom combines a deep teal short skirt with thigh rings and white leg covers, while the blue gemstones on the shoes sparkle vividly, creating high color coordination throughout. During the shoot, we opted for a cool-toned backdrop to highlight the character's cool demeanor. The on-site lighting was relatively harsh, so post-processing focused mainly on pulling down highlights to make skin tones look natural while preserving the metallic texture of the outfit and the layers in the hair. Character designs in Genshin Impact always boast immense detail; the tailoring of this outfit is far from everyday wear, especially since the waist and thigh straps tend to dig in, so when posing, one must be mindful to smooth out the fabric to ensure sleek lines. As for posing, if anyone shoots this outfit at an anime convention, be sure to find a solid support point to avoid tripping. Only this single photo was returned from this convention, but I genuinely love the lighting—the background bokeh isolates and elevates the subject perfectly. Though the shoot was tiring, the result met expectations. The venue was huge with many passersby milling around, which triggered a bit of social anxiety, but thankfully the photographer was quick at capturing shots. Regarding photo retouching, I avoided major reshaping, mainly balancing light and shadow ratios. It was my first time doing cosplay in heels of this height, making balance tough to find; if I cosplay similar characters in the future, I'll definitely prep insoles in advance. Wrapping up left me exhausted, but the visual outcome delivered a truly distinctive vibe.
