The sect uniform of Lingxue Pavilion's loli disciple boasts incredible design depth, and taking advantage of this year's JX3 Fan Work Festival, I brought it fully to life. The classic black, white, and red palette inherently carries an aggressive edge, demanding immense dedication to costume tailoring beforehand. The black leather vest and corset required a snug, structured fit to the body, while the metallic chains and distressed dark-crimson skirt hems needed tactile, realistic weight. The massive serrated chain blade prop was the undeniable centerpiece of the styling; though far from light, the moment I gripped it, complete immersion into the character took over.

For hair and makeup, high black twin tails with delicate bangs and twin black plush ear ornaments flawlessly honored Xueluo's adorable traits. To strike the balance between a fierce bad-ass vibe and pure cuteness, I balanced the makeup deliberately: reddish-brown eyeshadow was broadly blended with sharp winged eyeliner to harden the gaze with sharp intensity, while a dewy red lip retained youthful girlish charm. Managing the wig was an art form in itself—constantly tuning the volume of the twin tails kept head proportions organic and full.

We staged the photoshoot outdoors under gorgeous natural sunlight. Gentle gusts blowing through the twin tails and skirt created fluid dynamic motion. For posing choreography, I tested diverse personas: sharp, battle-ready stances gripping the blade with an unyielding glare, alternating with looking over my shoulder with a playful smile and pointing toward the lens. Fierce edge and sweetness aren't mutually exclusive—it all hinges on coordinating body language with facial micro-expressions. Swinging the weapon demanded engaging core muscles and driving force from the waist to keep attacks crisp and decisive, whereas leaning into cuteness called for relaxed shoulders and softened eyes.

The wardrobe's details are remarkably rich—from the metallic crest on the chest and silver waist chains to the black arm bracers, every facet rewards close inspection. Managing such an expansive prop required constant angle adjustments to prevent shadows from falling across my face. Because petite maidens can be wonderfully tough, I strove to convey that sharp duality through the lens. Lingxue Pavilion's lolis are nimble, explosive forces in-game; while seemingly delicate on the outside, they are formidable combatants.

The shoot progressed seamlessly, and the unedited raw frames exceeded expectations—highlighting both garment craftsmanship and the character's multifaceted allure. As a cosplayer, bringing a beloved character to life is always a thrilling journey: analyzing character lore, refining minute details, and marveling at the finished set. From hard-hitting props to evocative expressions, I poured my all into this Xueluo cosplay. I look forward to meeting everyone with more passion projects at upcoming conventions and community festivals!
