[Nahida Cosplay] Sumeru's Gentle Breeze Brings Greetings of Wisdom

Wearing this Nahida outfit, I feel like I've truly walked right out of Sumeru's rainforest. Today, I took this set of photos in a room filled with a crafting atmosphere—the environment and the character herself shared a wondrous sense of resonance. Taking advantage of this rare moment of leisure, I'd like to share this dressing-up experience with everyone in this Casual cosplay note.

The hair color of this wig is a design I absolutely love, transitioning naturally from white hair strands to a light fruit-green, with a single side high ponytail and fluffy curves that feel visually lightweight. The dark metallic-textured leaf and heart-element hairpiece at the top of the head serves as the visual focal point of the overall styling. To wear it securely, a special inner base structure was built; although it felt a bit heavy at first, once I got used to it, it gave a sense of ceremony. As for makeup, I specifically emphasized the eyes, blending light brown and pale green eyeshadows paired with a natural base makeup and glossy lip enamel, striving to recreate the character's pure, softly ethereal aura. The catchlights in the eyes were also intentionally captured through lighting and post-processing; to find the most satisfying eye catchlight, I adjusted my angle facing the camera multiple times during shooting.

The details of the outfit are truly captivating upon close inspection. The black base cloth on the chest along with the green and gold botanical embroidery at the neckline and waist offer rich layering. Because extensive silk and velvet fabrics were used in the costume, natural luster shifts occur under indoor lighting, making the overall silhouette look very three-dimensional. The green-and-gold arm guards worn on the arms not only contour the line of the arms but also add a touch of combat-oriented decoration. I particularly love this blend of traditional style and fantasy elements, which feels anchored in cultural heritage while retaining the magical traits of a game character. The small green round stool I sat on today and the white-and-green checkered floor in the background align harmoniously in color palette, which was a little thoughtful touch in choosing this shooting corner.

Speaking of today's shooting environment, it really has a cozy, lived-in feel. As you can see, the pink wall in the background is covered with various cartoon stickers and posters, while the small table beside me holds paint bottles, crafting tools, and even colorful toy rings for kids. The scene was actually a bit cluttered, but this childlike atmosphere resonated wondrously with the persona of Sumeru's Dendro Archon. During the shoot, I didn't deliberately clear the space, choosing instead to keep these everyday items as background. I feel cosplay shouldn't just be about grand sets detached from reality; it feels more like an anime character visiting the 3D real world, where this delightful clash creates something far more vivid and genuine.

Today's subtitle is "Something on your mind again? Let me think through it with you," which is one of my favorite voice lines. So often in real life, we encounter all kinds of worries and dilemmas, just as storms sometimes blow through Sumeru's rainforests. Yet the charm of Nahida lies in her pure, rational, and embracing gentleness. Wearing this outfit, I naturally wanted to embody that "listener" state. As a cosplayer, the greatest joy isn't producing ultra-glamorous photos, but rather being able to convey—in a fleeting moment through styling and expression—the emotion of a character originally on paper or screen to others. Although today's shoot was a bit exhausting due to constant adjustments to the wig and headpiece, seeing myself in the camera lens with that gentle, all-encompassing, wise gaze made all the tiredness fade away.

This was also my first time trying to shoot this character in a room filled with crafting tables and stickers. Compared to the ultra-clean solid-color studio backdrops, this cozy, lived-in warmth amidst the clutter actually gave me a lot of fresh inspiration. Between shots, I paid close attention to smoothing out fabric creases—especially positioning the long skirt hem and arm guards—striving to showcase an elongated posture even while seated. Through the lens, I felt as if I were truly reflecting aimlessly while sensing the world around me with wisdom and strength. This is likely the healing power that cosplay brings me.
