[Shikanoin Heizou Cosplay] Genshin Impact Anemo Boy: Refreshing Outfit Throwback from an Anime Convention

Digging up an old photo album memory, this set of Shikanoin Heizou cosplay looks is finally out in the sun.

For a while, I was busy working on female character stylings and shoots, so it's been a long time since I cosplayed a male character. An Anemo boy carries a unique aura—a mix of casual youthful charm and detective cleverness—that perfectly matches summer vibes, resulting in remarkably crisp output.

Let's talk about styling accuracy first. This outfit relies heavily on proportion: a sleeveless white shirt reveals upper arm and shoulder contours, making the posture look energetic. The black studded choker at the neck is the absolute finishing touch, balancing the crispness of the white shirt under cool-toned lighting to frame the neck lines just right. The short red wig is the most striking visual focal point; spending time layering and sculpting slightly messy flicked strands, along with that tiny braid at the back, added rich details that radiate the lightness of the Anemo element.

Looking at details, the black leather sleeves on the arms carry a biker-inspired edge. Not tight leather sleeves, but with thickness and structure, embellished with gold metallic plates and buckles that add rich metallic texture. The red cord ties laced on the outer arm create a vibrant color contrast fitting the character's uninhibited design details. For bottoms, paired with dark shorts, the metallic ring and dangling chain at the waist form a visual focal point, clinking softly while walking to enhance immersion amid convention BGM.

Though this gear looks breezy, wearing leather in a crowded, air-conditioned venue is quite a test. The black boots are cleverly designed with gold trim accents and red lace threading, echoing the upper body red cord elements for strong overall cohesion. The only gap-moe moment was in Photo 2 when I took off my boots to adjust posing, revealing a pair of red slippers underneath! A funny out-of-character moment, but in a noisy, crowded convention, staying comfortable is king.

Speaking of conventions, semi-circular stone steps make a fantastic backdrop for Anime convention snapshots. Flanked by small patches of faux lawn and rockwork, my seated posture felt naturally framed without looking empty. Casual convention snapshots feel much more vibrant and natural than meticulously calculated studio shots. The thin round-framed glasses deserve special praise—they look cultured while instantly imparting a confident "I see through everything" detective aura. Cosplaying male versus female characters lies in eye and expression temperament: not too soft, but carrying crisp youthful vitality. Cosplaying Anemo characters requires an unconstrained sense of freedom, so I kept expressions subtle and stayed relaxed.

Though these photos are from years ago, the outfit's completion holds up well today. Rather than forcing awkward, high-difficulty poses, sitting casually on steps, quietly looking at the camera, or glancing down at shoe details better fits the character's personality. The shoot went quickly under natural sunlight filtering through high hall windows, rendering clean, luminous skin texture. It's hard not to love this refreshing summer vibe—a fun Cosplay sharing throwback to gather inspiration for the next male character cosplay! Next time, I'd love to try unlocking more of the little detective's expressions.
