[Lumine cosplay] Snezhnaya Pop-up Event Check-In and Downtime at McDonald's

On August 24, I attended the Genshin Impact x Meituan collaboration Pop-up event, cosplaying the character Lumine. The most prominent feature on site was the massive Snezhnaya-styled train prop installed in the mall atrium—its sheer sense of volume was striking, with deep blue armor accented by pink trims and yellow highlights delivering a strong mechanical aesthetic. When taking the first full-body photo, because the prop was so enormous, I had to stand quite far back and use a low-angle shot to capture both myself and the entire train in frame. To complement this gigantic prop, considerable thought went into the composition, choosing a standing position at the side of the train so the skirt hem draped naturally against the pink plating.

This outfit features a white dress with gold decorative pieces on the chest and waist, paired with white over-the-knee boots and white gloves, while the sword in hand also incorporates yellow and gold elements. Compared to previous outfits, this design leans more toward the Snezhnaya style, carrying a crisp, cool aura. Because it was an in-person event, the mall's ambient lighting was relatively chaotic, so it took some time to find the right reflective angles. For makeup, I chose dark brown large-diameter contact lenses, elongated with eyeliner to make the gaze look sharp and focused.

After finishing the outer venue shots, I was feeling a bit tired, so I headed downstairs to the McDonald's in the mall for a break. I ordered a drink and sat at a wooden table; being close to the glass door with great natural light, I took a casual close-up shot, which is the second photo. Sitting in a relaxed posture, you can clearly see the sleekness of the wig and the flow of the bangs—the hair is light blonde. Up close, the blue-and-white pattern on the choker and the red-and-white checkered patchwork on the cuffs showed rich texture.

Regarding the outfit's details, the overall look leans toward a sci-fi tech aesthetic. While the white boots look gorgeous, standing for long periods throughout the day was genuinely exhausting, so I kept shifting my stance to keep my legs looking slender without appearing stiff. There are embellishments at the fingertips of the gloves, so during the shoot, I deliberately rested my hand on nearby props to showcase these details.

Cosplaying this character, beyond the outfit and styling, capturing the lively spirit in the eyes is equally crucial. This time, I experimented with various profile angles to find the expressions that best fit the character's persona. I also met many fellow fans on site and had great conversations exchanging our event experiences—the atmosphere was fantastic. The mall was crowded, so waiting for moments without passersby interfering in the background before pressing the shutter was quite a challenge. Nevertheless, the Snezhnaya train setup at this Pop-up event was truly magnificent, and integrated with the venue environment, it made for a wonderful shooting experience.
