The light golden wig in a medium-short cut fits the styling perfectly, while the slightly raised ahoge on top and the pinned white bow hair accessory instantly brought the character to life. To complement the light-colored outfit, I paired it with purple-pink contact lenses to make my eyes look softer and more recognizable.
The design details of the white dress are worth talking about. The bow on the neckline uses a wide ribbon fabric to add a sense of weight, while the light purple lace trim pieced together at the left chest is a subtle, non-intrusive accent. The cuffs are slightly puffed and tied with thin ribbons, making them soft without making the upper body look bulky. The fabric feels lightweight rather than stiff, giving the skirt a natural drape and fluid movement when walking outdoors.
In terms of prop selection, a white ruffled parasol is undeniably the soul of this look. Opening the parasol provides an excellent diffuse light source under natural light, casting a soft fill light on the face. Later in the shoot, we switched to a yellow-and-pink ice cream model prop, whose vibrant colors instantly broke the potential monotony of the all-white outfit, adding an extra visual focal point to the frame.
The location was an outdoor walkway featuring lawns and glass buildings. The lighting that day was diffused overcast light, perfectly matching this soft and elegant outdoor portrait theme. As for poses, besides the full-body shots holding the parasol while standing, I personally highly recommend choosing the crouching photo as the cover. In a high-angle shot, the skirt spreads naturally across the ground, paired with white tights and those thick-soled white lace-up Mary Jane shoes, nicely highlighting lower body proportions. With the parasol held behind and above, the composition is tight without pushing the main subject to the edges.
The makeup followed a clear and translucent principle. The base makeup avoided heavy contouring, preserving a clean skin tone, while a low-key rosewood tone was selected for lip color to avoid clashing with the pure white theme. Eye makeup was kept subtle, focusing on eyeliner to define contours, which created a great circle lens effect when combined with contact lenses without looking heavy or messy.
During the shoot, the gray tones of the pavement, the green tones of the lawn, and the glass texture of the background buildings set off the white subject beautifully, providing rich composition elements without stealing the spotlight. During post-processing, I mainly performed basic adjustments on highlights and shadows to keep the texture of the pure white dress clear, while desaturating the background environment to ensure the visual center remained squarely on the character. Across the entire shoot, this anime-style fashion look demonstrated great expressive power under natural light.
