The styling design for this shoot is visually highly recognizable. The upper body adopts black sheer puff sleeves with a subtle glitter texture, paired with a large area of bright red inner corset; this red-and-black clashing color scheme delivers a strong impact in the frame. The skirt design of the lower body has rich layers—the inner layer features red ruffles, with stiff black fabric layered over it. The most special part is the outer surrounding layer of black leather bone structure, which visually adds a lot of three-dimensionality and a dark Gothic atmosphere. This cage-like bone design is highly helpful for maintaining the silhouette during actual wear, but it also restricts some range of motion, requiring me to deliberately find angles that let the bone structure and skirt drape naturally during the shoot. This served as an amazing display of Anime-style fashion.

In terms of makeup, besides the matte white complexion of the base makeup, the main characteristics focus on the eye area. The iconic black single eyepatch is key to restoring the character's traits; when applying it, attention must be paid to blending the edges to avoid breaking the illusion. The lip color chose a darker tone of retro red, forming a color echo with the red rose at the collar and the red spider lily in hand. The overall facial makeup and styling are relatively restrained, focusing mainly on creating a serene, melancholic expression. The wig was specifically highlighted with a light silver-white tone blended with cool cyan, making it look lightweight and textured. To prevent it from looking frizzy during the shoot, it underwent precise styling treatments beforehand.

Prop preparation was also a focus of this shoot: a long sword decorated with red roses and metal chains, along with a bouquet of sharply styled bright red spider lilies. In a layered scene like a staircase, these two props provide excellent visual anchors. Holding the sword in hand not only enhances the aggressiveness and story tension but also helps adjust the body's center of gravity, making the standing poses look more upright and natural. The red flowers are more suitable for being held in front of the chest or leaning against the cheek, used to interpret those quiet, solemn moments.

The shooting location chosen this time was a flight of European-style indoor stairs covered with a red carpet, where the adjacent stone walls and crystal chandeliers inherently carry a rich classical and Gothic aura. During the shoot, it was coordinated with cool-toned blue-purple ambient light to illuminate the walls, creating a large area of cool-and-warm contrast with the true red on the dress. This light and shadow treatment gives the frame a highly cinematic feel; no tedious backgrounds are needed, as the texture of the light and shadow itself is more than enough.

Actually, every time portraying this kind of dark-themed character with a bit of battle damage or an otherworldly feel, it heavily tests the photographer's ability to capture light and shadow. We tried different angles on this flight of stairs, from high-angle downward shots from above the staircase to large low-angle upward shots. The low-angle one beautifully highlights the lines of the skirt's bone structure and the elongation of the legs, while a slightly higher or eye-level angle can better showcase the transparency of the upper body costume and the subtle facial expressions. The coordination with the photographer during the shoot was seamless; while maintaining the character's state, I also tried my best to make each frame look natural and unforced.

Whether it is the grim aura of silently holding the long sword or the tenderness of cradling the red flowers, in this specific scene and lighting, there is actually no need for too many flamboyant expressions—just sinking into the character's resoluteness and indifference is enough. This outfit's own design is extremely rich; during the shoot, one must pay attention to avoiding overly cluttered elements, locking the visual focus onto the character's outline and gaze. The final few selected photos successfully restore the costume's layering and the character's overall atmosphere relatively accurately, preserving that red-and-black interwoven sense of a final chapter that everyone wants, along with a bit of aloofness and coldness in the frame.
