This set of Azur Lane Laffey cosplay was shot in a Japanese-style room drenched in cool blue and purple lighting. To match the Rabbit Castle Lord theme, we picked an authentic set featuring shoji paper doors, tatami flooring, and warm-toned lanterns. Lighting the paper doors with cool background hues while using the warm yellow lantern glow as fill light across the face and body created a striking, cinematic temperature contrast.

The costume had numerous details, especially the plush white fur collar and sleeve pompoms, which required constant fluffing so they wouldn't look flattened on camera. Since the off-the-shoulder outfit featured high slit accents, kneeling on the tatami and glancing back while keeping a hand resting curved over the shoulder took careful posing adjustments. After trying several angles with the photographer, we captured that perfectly languid, slightly mysterious backward glance. A delicate sake flask prop added narrative flavor, while placing me on the left with lanterns leading off to the right gave the composition exceptional depth. Styling the long wavy white wig with Rabbit ears demanded patience to balance the headpiece without it feeling awkward. Capturing Laffey's sleepy, playful demeanor within Anime-style photography made all the time spent on the tatami well worth it.
