It's been several days since the 8.2 Carnival ended, but the aftertaste of this goldfish is still lingering heavily—dealing with serious post-event withdrawal right now.
This time, I cosplayed Haruka from Arknights (Haruka cosplay / 2D). For the wig, I selected a pink-orange gradient style; the red bow atop the crown and the flow of the hair strands were all meticulously styled. To match the night photoshoot, the eye makeup contours were deepened; the overall makeup remained relatively translucent and clean, but required strong dimensional definition under cold lighting. The costume features the classic white-blue-red color scheme: the white puff-sleeve jacket was structured with stiffening treatment, and the blue and red spliced inner details were slightly readjusted in proportion to give the upper body richer visual layers. The bottom is a deep navy pleated mini skirt edged with red lines, cinched tightly at the waist with a wide red obi and a black leather belt. Because the proportions are kept strictly defined, special care was needed during expansive movements to avoid popping any waist seams.
For accessories, the long red gloves and white high-heeled tall boots were visual focal points. The boots feature red crisscross lacing down the front and gold platform soles, standing about 10 cm high—standing for long stretches in the puddles across the plaza was honestly exhausting. The massive white-orange gradient translucent floating veil trailing behind was the true soul of the entire ensemble; to capture it unfurling gracefully in the wind, I ran into the breeze countless times. The silver-gray staff in my hands, topped with a red-and-silver mechanical ring and spiked structures, was quite hefty and required wrist strength to keep steady during poses.
The first photo is a static standing pose—at the time, I wanted to convey a sense of standing aloofly at the edge of the battlefield, leaning my center of gravity slightly back and supported by the staff resting against the ground. The second photo shifts to dynamic action: one leg lifted, right arm extending forward, left hand holding the staff vertically planted on the ground. The cold-white overhead lighting of the plaza at night, combined with the reflections from puddles on the ground, naturally endowed the scene with a cool, moist mood. The water puddles mirrored the lights and the boot soles; in this photo set, that decisive split-second of tension is what I'm most satisfied with.
Looking back, the phrase 'Until the Earth Turns into a Lime' (Arknights Creator Support Program) truly fit the mindset of this shoot. Energy drained rapidly toward the latter half of the shoot, and my feet inside the boots were aching, but once the final Convention photos came out, all those moments striking poses in the cold wind and continually adjusting the veil angle felt entirely worthwhile. If any friends on-site caught photos of this little goldfish searching for a lime in the puddles, feel free to send the Convention photos over! This was the project I invested the most energy into recently—from prop assembly to costume adjustments, every single detail was executed to the best of my ability.
