[Wishadel cosplay] Arknights: Trackside Creation Under Supernova Effects

Standing steady on the tracks in this outfit, my center of gravity was extremely unstable—the weight of the skirt hem combined with heightened footwear made it easy to slip on gravel. This photo set primarily showcases the sense of power of Supernova amidst industrial decay, which is why we chose this cold, rigid, and fractured Railway track scene. Regarding costume details, a lot of thought went into creating the distressed look of the Ripped stockings on the lower half. The stockings were initially brand new; to project a worn, combat-tested state from close-quarters battle, I manually tore several holes using tools and nails. The naturally formed frayed edges fit the character lore much better. The glowing white tubes at the waist were custom-made, requiring batteries and switches tucked inside; during the shoot, to ensure adequate illumination, we adjusted the tube angles so the cold light created a vivid contrast against the warm red graffiti in the background.

To keep the Ripped stockings from looking overly artificial, I applied smudges of dirt and dark pigment along the calves to simulate marks from rolling across gravel or engaging in battle. I also maintained natural creasing on the skirt hem to reflect genuine physical weight. The boots themselves were quite heavy, stuffed with elevator insoles that made walking grueling, which in turn forced me to maintain an upright, disciplined posture. The makeup artist spent considerable time styling the silver wig, adding textured disarray at the roots to match the overall shattered aesthetic. The makeup emphasized deep shadows around the eyes, paired with red contact lenses to enhance the piercing gaze. To complement this cold persona, I exercised restraint in facial expressions, maintaining an aloof yet focused expression.

The main difficulty of the shoot was finding a stable foothold along the railway tracks. Multiple times while swinging the skirt hem for candid capture, I nearly lost balance. The photographer also lay flat on the ground for extended periods to find the optimal low angle. With cool lights casting hard shadows across my face, we repeatedly adjusted positions and poses, finally capturing this dynamic, frozen moment of half-kneeling and reaching forward with one leg. Post-production seamlessly blended the lighting and particle effects with Dark special effects, particularly the sparks drifting in the air, intensifying the explosive Supernova ambiance. Because the on-site cool tones leaned blue, post-processing boosted the color and halo of the red lettering and sparks to harmonize the subject with the backdrop. While physically demanding and cumbersome to wear, seeing the crisp lines and intense tension in the final images made all the hard work worthwhile—a fitting homage to Wishadel cosplay in Arknights.
