This shoot was chosen on the indoor stairs during a convention break, where the lighting was much softer than outside. The circular array lights from the ceiling shone down just right to evenly illuminate my whole body, avoiding the harsh shadow contrast found outdoors and making the leather corset and the metallic texture of the silver buckles look cleaner and sharper. The silvery-white wig was braided and given a gradient treatment, which, paired with the beast ears on top of my head, created a beautiful sense of layering when walking or looking down. During the shoot, I intentionally kept the sideburns and bangs looking slightly natural so it wouldn't appear too rigid. For makeup, the bright blue colored contact lenses were paired with detailed eyeliner. The square mark on the right cheek is the most recognizable little detail on the entire face; it barely needed any adjustment in post-production as the raw plate's state was already enough. The highlight of the costume actually lies in the geometric line cuffs of the white shirt and the black-and-blue patchwork cape. Every time I turned or raised my hand, the dynamic movement of these elements was very easy to capture. The combination of the black leather skirt and leg rings also held great elasticity without looking bloated. The long-handled cane serves as more than just a prop; in sitting poses or half-body compositions, it acts as an excellent visual extension line to keep the frame's center of gravity more stable. Especially in the last picture, leaning against the cane with my head down to rest feels like a moment of true relaxation after a long day at the convention. The biggest difference between shooting convention photos and a formal cosplay photoshoot is the environmental interaction. The blue caution line on the stairs actually brought a touch of geometric feel by itself; as long as the angle was adjusted well, it turned into a very clean background division. This photoset doesn't feature too many exaggerated post-production special effects. The focus was placed on switching expressions—from playful to quiet—hoping to present different facets of this character's personality in static frames. The black bow on the prop and the laces on the boots both maintained their original texture. During the shoot, I constantly paid attention to stretching my limbs out as much as possible, ensuring I wouldn't strike overly rigid poses while preventing the clothes from shifting out of place due to being too casual. The pace at the convention venue is very fast, so being able to find time to sit down and shoot a set like this was truly rare, with every single image representing the state of the moment. From arranging the wig to adjusting the boot buckles, every time I do a cosplay, it's a review of the details. I hope these convention photos can convey that relaxed yet serious atmosphere of the time.
