"Doctor, the May Day holiday has begun!" Hearing this familiar greeting made me decide to freeze this summer swimsuit theme over the weekend. Although the photos look sunny with splashing water, carrying a full vacation relaxed vibe, a lot of thought actually went into the preparation before the shoot. To fit Myrtle's playful setting in Arknights while wanting to create a vacation atmosphere in a real pool scene, I specially chose this pure white off-the-shoulder ruffled crop top and semi-translucent white miniskirt. This kind of material with gauze pleats looks very lightweight under the sun, which beautifully highlights the summer vibe without looking too cluttered. The matching detached white gauze sleeves and pearl necklace, along with the pearl anklet on the ankle, added a great deal of exquisite feel to the details.

Honestly, the combination of the long straight Red wig cosplay and the Elf ear look fits the character perfectly this time, and a red tropical flower hair accessory on the head became the visual highlight of the entire look. In terms of color coordination, the red hair forms a sharp contrast with the white outfit. Standing on the blue-and-white swimming pool tiles and the wooden deck, the color saturation of the frame dialed up instantly. The photo studio was decorated with an abundance of summer props, such as that blue-and-white lifebuoy, the yellow-and-white striped sun umbrella, along with various little rubber ducks and colorful ball pit balls. These are keys to creating an atmospheric feel, especially that yellow rubber duck; holding it in hand or putting it to the side immediately brings a sense of childlike fun and vitality to this Summer pool photo shoot.

The most fun scene during the shooting process was actually when I sat on the wooden deck kicking the water. Since the pool was a constructed set, the exact moment the water splashed up felt highly dynamic. Paired with the crystal-clear lighting in the frame, that cooling sensation can be felt right through the photos. Although I was constantly adjusting my sitting posture and expressions while avoiding the seams at the pool's edge that might break the illusion, the final result was completely worth it. In fact, as a character roleplay, besides accurately recreating the costume and makeup, I focus more on whether I can display the character's vibe of being occasionally a little lazy yet full of life. Therefore, whether sitting on a swing drinking a cold beverage, reclining on a rattan chair pushing up my sunglasses, or holding the lifebuoy to interact with the camera lens, I tried my best to immerse myself in the relaxed state of the holiday, using the most natural posture to present this summer-themed cosplay creation.
