[Eleg Cosplay] Afternoon Break: Recreating the Casual Vibe of Goddess of Victory: New Hope

Taking an afternoon break after a quiet reset, I struck while the iron was hot and handcrafted an edit of Eleg.

This photo was taken on September 27, 2025. Huge thanks to photographer @Syuuji修司 for collaborating with me and capturing such a perfectly relaxed moment. In fact, when we were selecting the location, we aimed for a "casual home life" perspective right from the start. The room featured clean white bedsheets and soft light filtering through the curtains. Combined with the fluffy white animal ears on my head and the white top with black suspenders, the overall color palette and styling perfectly hit that quiet yet playful atmosphere we wanted.

Many friends looking at the unedited picture might wonder about the giant hand-drawn orange bear in front. As mentioned in my update, this is a "hand-crafted on the fly" photo, and the full editing process is still underway. At the time, my facial expression and body posture in this shot matched my understanding of Eleg as "lazy yet adorable" perfectly. However, there were some details that needed covering up, or perhaps a few awkward camera angles from that day's setup, so I decided to try something a bit different. I drew an orange bear right in front of me using digital painting. I hoped this mix of semi-2D and semi-realism everyday doodle style would add a unique touch of warmth and playfulness to the photos. Every stroke of the orange bear you see here was drawn by hand brush by brush. Though it's not overly detailed, this hand-painted style strangely resonates well with the wrinkles on the bedsheets and the fluffy headpiece.

Regarding the styling preparations this time, styling the wig took quite some effort. The short hair with pale blonde highlights needed to show the textured dimension from the comics without looking too stiff. The white beast ears were an addition I put together myself, which, along with the white suspender top, tilted the overall style toward everyday living rather than heavy battle armor. In my eyes, Eleg isn't just a majestic warrior on the battlefield—her private moments of relaxation and ease are where her true charm lies. Therefore, during the shoot, I stayed as casual as possible without forcing complex poses—just leaning on the bed or letting light and shadow outline my features as I looked down.

Sharing this photo is also my way of recording that sudden spark of creative impulse. While meticulously planned photosets are great, this experience of going with the flow—editing and painting simultaneously—is one of the joys of cosplay. I'm sharing this work-in-progress version as a milestone check-in for myself. I will continue editing the rest of the photos to complete this home-themed Eleg set. After all, cosplay is not just about recreating a character's appearance, but also capturing the subtle nuances and moods of her everyday life. I look forward to bringing you a more complete and higher-quality presentation once the full set is finalized!
