[Marciana & Eleg cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke Form-Fitting Athletic Styling

This photoshoot brings to life Eleg and Marciana from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, staged primarily in a studio setting equipped with volleyball props, beach umbrellas, and softboxes as the backdrop. Before shooting, we focused on fine-tuning Eleg's snug white turtleneck top and red-and-yellow accessories; while the fabric offers ample stretch, its form-fitting Bodysuit cut means the slightest shift in posture creates visible bunching. To remedy this, my assistant smoothed the fabric repeatedly around the shoulders and underarms, ensuring seamless highlight contours under the lamps. The yellow fabric paired against the yellow-and-blue stripes of the volleyball created sharp contrast under studio lights, prompting subtle white balance adjustments to keep skin tones natural while bringing out the tangible texture of the volleyball prop. The hair required generous amounts of styling spray; the heart-shaped ahoge strand on the crown demanded high structural resilience, which was finally secured after repeated trimming and testing, allowing for more expressive freedom.

My partner portraying Marciana sported long reddish-brown locks paired with a red sun visor, a black tee, and red-and-white suspenders—a color scheme that flattered fair skin tones remarkably. Posing for mirror selfies together posed a distinct hurdle: reflections easily introduced lens glare, requiring us to calibrate our standing alignment and heights while keeping postures organic to maintain strong composition. Throughout this shoot, I prioritized physical tension. Being sportswear, arm postures cradling the volleyball and leg stances required a grounded sense of power, both projecting athletic vibrancy and accentuating body curves through the garment's contours. For facial expressions, a playful peek of the tongue, accentuated pink blush, and custom cosmetic lenses aligned the look with the character's core demeanor. In this duo set, we coordinated playful hand gestures together; though physically tiring, constant discussions with the photographer regarding light falloff ensured the sleek athletic wear retained sharp, clean definition.

Post-processing focused primarily on taming micro-creases in the fabric and balancing specular hot spots, minimizing artificial retouching marks to preserve authentic realism. The entire session progressed smoothly without unexpected hiccups. Reviewing the finished stills, this athletic styling proved to be a standout visual highlight. Compared to the oversized wardrobes from previous shoots, this snug apparel was far more demanding on bodily control, capturing a fresh and distinctive performance before the camera.
