[Mary cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke Summer Swimsuit Fan Design

This summer swimsuit fan design for Mary was primarily crafted to harmonize with the refreshing, breezy ambiance of a Summer water park. Mary naturally embodies a gentle yet formidable aura, so for the swimwear styling, I chose a vibrant bright-yellow bikini paired with distressed raw-hem denim cutoffs, accented with yellow cord ties and a black leather thigh ring to inject a playful street-style edge into a crisp summer look. I intentionally trimmed the wig into a tidy short cut; keeping the signature straight bangs veiling her eyes preserved the character's enigmatic poise while preventing drenched hair from clinging awkwardly to the face during water takes. For makeup, I intensified the blush blending and kept the lips subtle, conjuring the natural flush of sun-kissed skin.

Joining me on camera was my partner portraying an Eleg cosplay. To create a striking contrast with my vivid yellow, her ensemble featured a crisp white bikini layered under a semi-sheer white tulle duster, adorned at the waist with an oversized blue blossom. This blue-and-white harmony not only blended flawlessly with the water park environment, but also offered an immediate visual cooling effect. The wide-brimmed sun hat atop her head, graced with blue floral accents, served as the crowning glory of her look. Furthermore, the metallic-ring choker around her neck and the brown leather thigh straps along her leg infused an edge of mechanical grit and danger into her soft styling—honoring the sci-fi roots of Goddess of Victory: Nikke.

Shooting immersed in water was considerably tougher than expected. Harsh reflections on the water's surface frequently threw off camera metering, requiring us to continuously reposition camera angles and fill lights, leveraging the shadow beneath the sun hat alongside natural contrast to carve out facial contours. Wading through water met heavy resistance, yet to showcase leg lines and waist curves, we constantly calibrated our center of gravity to keep our postures relaxed and fluid. We skipped stockings entirely this time, as bare skin paired with thigh rings looked far more luminous under glistening water caustics. The dynamic clash of blonde and black hair, coupled with yellow and white bikinis against azure ripples, forged tremendous visual tension.

Because this specific Summer water park aesthetic doesn't exist in official canon, the entire ensemble was an original fan interpretation crafted by my partner and me—apologies in advance to anyone sensitive to OOC depictions. Through this styling, we sought to capture the effortless tranquility of these two heroines stepping away from the battlefield to bask in summer sunshine and cool waves. The final frames are deeply gratifying; the shimmering blue water backdrop paired with the saturated hues of the outfits delivered spectacular visual harmony. Though soaking in the pool all afternoon thoroughly drained our stamina, seeing our natural interactions and playful finger-hearts in the camera made every bit of effort worthwhile.
