[Texas cosplay] Arknights: Rainy Season in Siracusa, Stepping into the Silence of a Pure White Studio

The rainy season in Siracusa certainly makes it easy to get one's tail wet, so I opted for a pure white studio shoot for a clean, sharp visual style. The first half was a dark-themed shoot with chains and red-and-blue lighting, while the second half switched to a bright, pristine cyclorama studio backdrop.

Let's focus on the second half of the shoot this time. To recreate the texture of the uniform, I deliberately chose a dark gray suit jacket with just the right thickness; the white embroidered patterns on the cuffs showed up crystal clear in the white setting. Underneath, it was paired with a white collared shirt and a blue tie, which, combined with the silver buckle on the tactical belt and ammo pouches, gave the outfit rich layers. For hair and makeup, the eye makeup was drawn sharp, which, paired with amber contact lenses, brought out the character's cold aloofness. Straight black long hair plus Animal ears was physically demanding; to keep the strands sleek and prevent stray flyaways, setting spray was used all day, making washing my hair afterward quite an ordeal.

The props were the main highlight. The weight of that silver beast-head greatsword and polearm weapon was beyond imagination; lifting them single-handedly made my wrists ache, requiring core strength to hold the poses steady. The chain sequence was even more exhausting—draped over my shoulder, the chains were not only freezing cold but also heavy. Along with the reflections from the red and blue lights, we shot numerous angles before nailing down the optimal composition. Adjusting poses constantly during the shoot was tough, but fortunately, the photographer possessed a great grasp of visual language.

For the final cover, I chose the shot sitting on the white cube because that perspective perfectly highlighted the leg contours—the Black stockings looked very slimming against the white backdrop, paired with white mid-calf boots for a clean, sharp visual. The overall shooting process was quite demanding, but every bit of preparation and physical effort was worth it to bring out the character's signature capable and aloof demeanor in this Arknights cosplay. Once the rainy season passes, I'll consider doing an outdoor shoot in a different environment to explore another distinct atmosphere.
