[Corin cosplay] Hardcore Chainsaw Maid Photoshoot Log at Shougang Park in Zenless Zone Zero

The rugged industrial vibe of Shougang Park, paired with this modified dress of the Chainsaw Maid, froze ideal frames under the golden evening light. When I first got this long-handled chainsaw prop, my initial thought was that it was much heavier than expected. Holding it steadily and posing in expressive action stances throughout a shoot was truly a test of arm strength. Especially when holding such a long-handled weapon with one hand, my wrist and shoulders got particularly sore.

The black leather belt corset, metal buckles, and leg rings styled on my body added plenty of hardcore elements to the overall look. These leather accessories reflected light differently under outdoor sunlight; to present a battle-ready state, the positions of the belt and various straps were repeatedly adjusted many times during shooting. Meanwhile, the bear backpack with cross tape and straps on my back served as a fun accent within the tough style. To keep its securing straps from slipping, we also adjusted it several times between shots.

Light green long hair looked surprisingly great against this industrial backdrop, with hair strands glowing softly in the sunset. The twintails hairstyle, combined with the white scrunchie on my head, created a lovely visual contrast with the cold, rugged steel structures behind me. Choosing Shougang Park as the location was because its towering storage tanks, crisscrossing steel pipes, and yellow guardrails collided perfectly with this heavy-industry-styled outfit to create a contrasting beauty. No complex lighting setups were needed; natural light alone highlighted the texture of the wig and outfit.

During the shoot, I tried different angles, such as several standing stances holding the weapon, striving to convey a sharp and powerful presence. Towards the latter half of the session as my physical stamina drained, there happened to be a grassy slope nearby, so I sat on the grass holding the bear in my arms; this relaxed state felt more natural than intentionally forced posing. The red soles of the boots, paired with the leg rings on the lower body, beautifully complemented the leg lines in camera. Full shots of swinging the prop while standing had great visual impact, whereas the moment sitting on the ground resting with the teddy bear captured a sense of ease. The black leather material showed excellent texture in the sunset's faint light, and the red at the bottom of the boots was a major highlight of the costume, adding color to the overall hardcore outfit. For makeup, I tried a fresh, natural style paired with light-colored contact lenses, making my gaze appear softer in front of the lens.

From costume belts to the chainsaw's paint job, every detail merged with this nostalgic industrial environment. The final photos indeed captured the cool, tough, yet slightly playful style I had envisioned. Facing these massive heavy machinery, wearing this outfit made my energy feel completely transformed. With a clear division of labor with the photographer—he handled finding angles and capturing moments of changing light while I posed to fit the scenery—the final shots came out very satisfying. Organizing this shoot log serves as a nice record for this carefully prepared costume and prop set.
