[Bready Cosplay] Daily Business at Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Bakery

This time I'm bringing you Bready's Ver. 02 look. Unlike previous styles that leaned towards battle-ready or serious settings, this shoot selected the daily operation of a bakery as its core theme, making the overall mood more relaxed and grounded in daily life.

In terms of structure, this costume preserves the character's distinct sailor collar and neckerchief design while adding a highly recognizable white frilled bakery apron. The center of the apron features a black heart motif which, paired with the brown pleated skirt, concentrates visual focus on waist-abdomen lines and skirt layering. To fit the character's physique, the cropped waist-baring top was subtly adjusted during tailoring to ensure that lines remain smooth without weird creasing when bending over or reaching for items.

Among the accessories in this look, my favorites are the white soft cap on the head and the black sheer tights on the legs. The brim fold of the white cap and the wig's fluffiness needed careful coordination to avoid looking like a nurse cap and losing the bakery server feel. The tights were a major focus, featuring black bow straps attached at the top. When shooting the second photo, I specially chose a high-angle seated pose with a casual action of pulling the top edge of the tights; this spontaneous dynamic not only highlighted leg contours and the sheer sheen of the tights, but also added a touch of lazy, playful flair that visually grabs attention.

Prop preparation couldn't be sloppy—they needed to enhance the scene without stealing the spotlight. I prepared a light-colored woven bread basket filled with several freshly baked European bread loaves, which subtly echoed the brown skirt and apron tones. The wooden-framed blackboard next to me was custom-made; I hand-wrote a cafe menu on it with chalk, featuring Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Tiramisu, and their respective prices. This prop served as excellent background fill in standing shots, reinforcing immersion into a real cafe setting.

Lighting on the shoot day was soft and even without overly complex setups, preserving the character's original color palette as much as possible. The photographer helped try out different angles: the standing pose leaning forward in the first photo kept focus on the face and upper body; the high-angle seated pose in the second photo used compact composition to preserve black tights and movement details intact; in the third photo, I lifted the skirt hem to showcase the natural drape of the apron when flared out.

For makeup, I emphasized a natural, rosy blush and eye look to stay close to the character's fresh yet subtly mysterious traits. In Roleplay, while accuracy is vital, finding a sense of everyday realism based on personal interpretation is also a direction well worth exploring. The costume used a breathable cotton blend fabric so it didn't feel suffocating; the photoshoot went smoothly, and coordination with my partner was wonderfully harmonious.
