Yin Ziping in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT has always been one of my favorite characters, especially with the Lanting Yue skin. The Chinese-style design coupled with refreshing blue-purple tones made me want to cosplay her the moment I first saw the concept art. Taking advantage of the opportunity at Wuhan Dreamland this time, I located Dreamland's event photoshoot set; the studio's staging complemented this outfit remarkably well.

In terms of costume details, the design of this modified qipao is exceptionally exquisite. Across fabric transitioning from deep purple to royal blue, the chest features extensive, heavy embroidery patterns, with silver frog buttons extending down from the neckline, elevating the tactile quality to the max. The detached sleeves boast a semi-translucent petal silhouette; paired with long white gloves underneath, they preserve the gentle grace of traditional Chinese style while injecting the crisp sharpness of combat. The wig required the most effort: platinum-blonde long straight hair styled into symmetrical twin buns on top, adorned with pearl tassels and black-and-white lace bows. To ensure the hairstyle contoured my face naturally, I used plenty of concealed bobby pins along the hairline, needing to readjust the tassels periodically mid-shoot.

In terms of props, a long-hilted tachi sword and a black paper umbrella were the absolute protagonists. When holding the sword, to channel the character's piercing coolness, my wrist tension and arm lines had to remain taut, paired with a fiercely focused gaze. In one shot seated on the ground, to showcase the skirt's slit and leg contours for this Stockings cosplay, I deliberately adjusted the angle and placement of my legs to grant the frame a sweeping sense of extension, while carefully avoiding wardrobe mishaps by layering white stockings and safety shorts underneath.

The ambiance of the studio set contributed tremendously: the ink-wash painting backdrop, wooden folding screens, and hanging gauze draperies all around, complemented by the on-site lighting—particularly the cool-toned illumination—instantly elevated the visual quality to another level. Throughout shooting, the photographer continuously guided me on how to utilize props within the space, such as casting subtle shadows with the umbrella or catching specular reflections off the sword blade to enrich compositional depth.

The entire photoshoot was genuinely exhausting, as maintaining the character's poise and demeanor required staying in a nearly continuous state of tension; yet the moment I saw the final photos, everything felt completely worthwhile. The intricate details and colors of the Lanting Yue costume were rendered beautifully before the lens, and the dynamic tension of the poses achieved everything I had envisioned. I hope these event photos faithfully portray the Yin Ziping of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT that lives in my heart.
