[Keqing cosplay] Genshin Impact Keqing Transforms into Opulent Splendor for a Tipsy Bar Night

This on-location shoot took place in an atmospheric bar, where the overall lighting offered an exquisite blend of warm and cool tones. To complement the Opulent Splendor evening gown, I made numerous fine adjustments to the styling. The black strapless bodice paired with the asymmetrical blue tiered skirt delivers strong visual dimension. The wig retained Keqing's signature cat-ear hair buns with subtly curled ends, while the makeup deepened eyeshadow blending and featured a classic bold red lip to match the gown's opulent, enigmatic elegance. To elevate the overall aesthetic, I specifically selected black pantyhose printed with golden moons and soaring birds—these subtle touches often make or break the visual texture of a Stockings cosplay. The purple strappy block heels on my feet not only elongated my leg proportions, but also resonated harmoniously with the purple hair.

Photographer Yelu worked with me on numerous experiments with light and shadow. The bar's ambient blue neon lights combined with the warm amber glow from the back-lit liquor shelves created an ideal contrast that looked stunning on camera. During the shoot, I held the purple longsword prop, trying out diverse stances such as kneeling on one knee, sitting, and leaning against the bar counter. To make the compositions more dynamic, we also incorporated a red wine glass as a prop—such as perching on the bar counter raising a glass with one hand, or setting the glass down and casting a glance back over my shoulder. Due to the limited space in the venue, sitting on the edge of the bar counter required engaging my core, while crossing my legs demanded continuous angle adjustments to ensure the skirt drape and the golden tights patterns were displayed flawlessly. The long blade looked imposing, but holding it for extended periods definitely made my arms ache.

Keqing usually exudes a decisive, crisp, and resolute aura, but slipping into this gown brings out an air of relaxed languor and elegance. In portraying her, I deliberately dialed back her usual sharpness, experimenting with calmer, gently tipsy expressions. Capturing the moment of lifting a glass under warm ambient light or leaning on the counter with one hand while gazing into the lens conveyed a delightful contrast to her combat readiness. Although climbing up and down the bar counter in high heels was exhausting and the dress streamers were easy to step on, seeing the finished frames bathed in rich light and shadow made all the hard work worthwhile. The wooden bar counter was quite hard, and during breaks I practically collapsed onto it, only to snap back into posture the moment the shutter clicked—a familiar rite of passage for every dedicated shoot. From lighting to atmosphere, this Genshin Impact cosplay set faithfully recreated the elegant and mysterious Opulent Splendor vision in my heart, and I hope everyone enjoys this stylistic venture.
