The convention photos from this Guangzhou Blue Archive Only are finally out! The lighting on the shooting day was exceptionally transparent. Under the natural light in front of the French windows, the layered pleats of the skirt hem and the texture of the black stockings were all displayed just right. The costume was prepared a long time in advance, especially the small top hat hairpiece and gear decorations; the details tested my patience significantly, but the final restoration degree made me very satisfied myself. The photographer captured several different states, including clasping hands to pray seriously, and playfully making a V-sign while jumping on one leg, which perfectly echoed Mari's both devout and lively idol temperament at the academy. Standing in front of the French windows during the shoot, I tried to blend the character's gentleness into the movements, such as slightly tilting my head down with eyes lowered, or placing my hand over my chest, to stay closer to the character's personality setup. The skirt hem of this outfit is very fluffy, and the sense of layering is fantastic when spinning. Although I had to pay attention to controlling the movement range during the shoot to avoid flashing, the final photo results were completely worth it. The backseams on the black stockings and the bows on the high heels are also iconic elements of the character, and the angles were specially adjusted during the shoot to highlight these details. Every time I cosplay, it feels like a process of re-entering the character's inner heart. Being able to leave these moments at the Guangzhou only exhibition this time feels very fulfilling. Thanks to the photographer's patient guidance and post-color grading, the overall frame maintained a bright and clean tone, which pairs beautifully with Blue Archive's fresh art style. The structural lines of the venue itself were also great, helping capture many compositions with a beautiful sense of depth.
