[Ishtar Cosplay] Where Is My Bull? Who Stole My Bull! Fate/Grand Order

"Where is my bull? Who stole my bull!" is probably one of Rinshtar's most famous and iconic lines. This time, I finally got the chance to shoot Ishtar's deep purple gown, putting considerable effort into bringing out the character's unique charm. For the shoot, we chose a night scene with an illuminated light wall as the backdrop; the subtle shimmer of the deep purple dress was brought out remarkably under the cool lighting. With numerous details on the white gloves and neckline along with gold chain ornaments across the chest, I adjusted the makeup and styling myself beforehand—especially darkening the eyeliner and lengthening the eyelashes to pair with the red contact lenses, capturing the goddess's haughty tsundere aura. Huge thanks to Miss Jenny's creative Portrait photography: her delicate handling of the aperture rendered clean, creamy bokeh from the fairy lights in the background, making my facial expressions and the garment's tailored texture stand out cleanly.

The focal point during shooting was the coordination between my gaze and hand gestures. In particular, for the front-facing pose with crossed arms, I needed to keep my shoulders relaxed while maintaining crisp hand lines, which took several angle adjustments. Compared to looking back over the shoulder, the frontal shot offered stronger eye contact and better showcased the front design of the costume, so I selected it as the cover. In post-processing, we fine-tuned facial shadows to preserve depth under complex lighting without over-smoothing, retaining the authentic texture of the makeup. The character's 2D charm lies not only in her gorgeous attire but also in her bold, boastful, yet adorable personality, so I strove to embody her slightly arrogant demeanor throughout the shoot. This experience also elevated my makeup precision, especially controlling highlights and contours so they wouldn't look muddy under flash lighting. Since the scene featured a clash of warm yellow and cool blue lights, standing position was crucial to ensure even facial illumination and catch the dress's subtle sheen at specific angles. The cinched waistline of this outfit is gorgeous, requiring me to keep an upright posture to convey elegance without losing sharpness. In short, fully showcasing the lighting texture, character expressions, and costume details made this a truly satisfying shoot.
