[Yixuan cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Office Lady uniform and Black stockings combination - Image 1

This time, the look chosen was an OL styling of Yixuan from Zenless Zone Zero. For the attire, a black-and-white finely striped long-sleeve shirt was selected, leaving the top button unfastened to avoid looking too rigid. Paired with a high-waisted black suspender mini skirt, the tailored silhouette fit the Office Lady uniform concept impeccably. The employee badge hanging around my neck was a specially prepared prop to inject narrative depth and everyday realism into the composition. The wig was a silver-white short cut; to faithfully recreate the character's traits, I combed through the bangs and pinned a black circular ring accessory on the left side. Regarding makeup, special emphasis was placed on blended eye shadow, using reddish tones to echo the cool, aloof aura, paired with blush placed directly beneath the eyes and mauve lips, striving to project an enticing yet detached distance before the lens.

The caption stating that 'wearing the socks felt like torture' was genuinely no exaggeration. To pursue the ultimate visual presentation, I selected ultra-sheer Black stockings featuring a prominent back seam line and a split-toe cut. Anyone who has worn Split-toe socks knows that having fabric wedge between the toes causes severe pinching and pain during extended standing or posing. Paired on top of that with black pointed-toe open-heel stilettos—while truly magic for elongating leg lines—the prolonged wear caused aching insteps and immense toe pressure; I was genuinely enduring it purely for the aesthetic results.

The shoot was staged before a minimalist pure-white backdrop, with only a silver-gray metal folding chair as a prop. Such a minimal setting severely tests physical dynamic tension. To showcase the leg contours and the texture of the stockings, I predominantly adopted seated poses with crossed legs. Crossing my right leg over my left with my torso leaning back slightly, my left hand rested naturally outward while my right hand held the employee badge aloft. While looking casual on the surface, keeping my back straight and leg curves sleek required constant core engagement. After each set of shutter snaps, I had to stretch out my stiff lower back and ankles. Combined with high-intensity studio lighting, the studio shoot was remarkably draining on stamina.

As for the OOC apology mentioned in the post, it was primarily because while delivering an Office Lady uniform style overall, I incorporated some personal interpretations into the garment nuances and presence, which may deviate slightly from canon designs. Yet that is precisely where the joy of cosplay lies—exploring diverse character possibilities through distinct styling combinations and scene interpretations. Leveraging a monochrome palette of black, white, and gray alongside sharp chiaroscuro contrast was aimed at conveying a cool, alluring workplace intimidation. Although shooting in this gear for half a day was exhausting—especially with the Split-toe socks and stilettos—witnessing the lighting and linear elegance in the final photos made every bit of effort completely worthwhile.
