[Nao Tomori cosplay] Charlotte: Island Sunshine and Gentle Breeze

The sea breeze at the mountain peak carried a gentle saltiness, feeling so refreshing against my skin. For this Island location shoot, I brought along my Nao Tomori cosplay outfit from Charlotte; the combination of the red-and-white sailor top, yellow necktie, and deep-red pleated skirt popped vividly under the brilliant sunlight. To stay faithful to her design, I paired it with black calf Stockings and brown mid-calf boots. The island sunshine was glaringly bright, yet the wind was remarkably fierce. Although the silver-white wig looked gorgeous and fluttery in the gusts, it tangled so easily, requiring a few minutes of combing after every couple of snaps. Scouting for optimal lighting meant scrambling up and down massive coastal boulders; my leather boots slipped occasionally on the rocks, but my balance honed from past outdoor shoots saved the day.

Standing beside the cliffside railing and looking down, the harbor packed with boats and the vast blue sea opened up completely before my eyes. This authentic sense of openness is impossible to recreate in a studio. In backlit shots, the rim light catching the edges of the hair looked stunning, though the face easily fell into shadow, requiring constant adjustments to my position and the fill-light angle. Under intense sun, the sharp contrast of the red-and-white outfit made the photos look exceptionally crisp and striking.

Resting on a stone bench during breaks and snapping a couple of scenic shots on my phone genuinely felt like vacationing here. Even though lugging gear up the mountain left my legs feeling like jelly, seeing the raw texture on the camera preview made every drop of effort worthwhile. The island sunshine felt warm on my skin, and listening to the rustling foliage completely relaxed me. The color tones for this outdoor set barely needed any editing—the natural light and shadow in the raw files were already stunning.

Wrapping up a full day of shooting, we're ready to head down the mountain and enjoy a hearty seafood feast. This outdoor Cosplay photoshoot was deeply rewarding, and I can't wait for our next on-location adventure.
