[Perona cosplay] One Piece's Princess Mononoke, Classic Striped stockings Look

For this Perona cosplay shoot of Princess Mononoke from One Piece, I chose a Mirror selfie approach for easier control over the visual results. When putting together this outfit, the most time-consuming part was the long pink curly wig; to recreate that fluffy, effortless wave, I had to carefully style it in sections with a curling iron. Paired with her signature hat featuring a black cross and pink-and-white polka dots, the character's look instantly came alive. The overall pink dress with red-and-white striped sleeves and red gloves creates a vibrant, saturated color palette. Personally, though, I believe the most captivating highlight of this character is definitely the black-and-white Striped stockings. These tights are visually demanding on leg shape, so I had to pay close attention to the elongation of my legs throughout the shoot. I naturally rested my leg on a small black stool, using the height difference from the white office chair to lengthen the leg line so that even while seated, it looks slender and cute.

The pink translucent sign and plushies in hand also made great atmospheric props—alternating between holding the blue-and-white striped plushie and the masked orange plushie added richness to the frames. Being a selfie session, the benefit of shooting in front of the mirror was seeing my real-time look on the screen, allowing me to tweak the tilt of my head, the direction of my gaze, and ensure the Striped stockings and leg curves were displayed perfectly. To ensure professional photo quality, I adjusted the indoor lighting beforehand so my skin tone and the pink wig looked translucent and natural. The character inherently carries a tsundere and eccentric Princess Mononoke vibe, so while shooting, I deliberately tried some playful poses—like tilting my head slightly and stretching my legs forward—hoping to capture that authentic tsundere charm. The styling didn't rely on overly complex modifications, depending instead on the vivid color contrast of the costume and the geometric lines of the stockings to catch the eye. In the end, I picked out my favorite set with minimal editing, preserving the light, adorable mood of the raw shots in hopes of conveying the essence of Perona's unique style.
