[Iuno cosplay] Wuthering Waves: Gentleness and Ethereal Grace in a Traditional Chinese style Setting

Today's photo set was shot at Yongqingfang, where the entire scenery exuded a rich Traditional Chinese style atmosphere. Iuno has an immense amount of character design details; from the blue hair twin tails to the off-shoulder white long gown, every detail demanded faithful recreation. I specifically styled the wig to preserve that airy, layered flow from the original design. For makeup, I accentuated the cool aloofness of blue contact lenses and eye makeup, paired with gold-and-blue forehead floral bindi markings and hair accessories, maxing out the character's nuanced presence. The costume's fabric was chosen from gentle, lightweight white gauze; when walking, the hem and sleeves created an effortlessly natural drape. To match the setting, I held a blue circular fan adorned with plum blossoms and tassels; candidly capturing the moment of fanning brought out an enchanting classical charm.

The lighting on shoot day was actually quite challenging, but fortunately, the indoor set featured cherry blossoms, maple leaves, and bamboo, complemented by the warm glow of a round moon and lanterns, making the fill light wonderfully soft. Across this series, I explored several distinct poses—standing, seated, and leaning over a guzheng (zither). The guzheng shot was an impromptu idea after spotting the prop on set; resting my hand on the strings while tilting my head up, that blend of languid poise and focused gaze came through instantly. The pose sitting on the ground holding a scroll was primarily intended to display the patterns along the lower hem and the ankle ornaments. Whenever I do Wuthering Waves cosplay, what I enjoy most is the process of immersing myself into the character; though the preparation is exhausting, seeing the final images makes everything so worthwhile.

The outfit chosen for this shoot is actually very flattering to body lines: the high-slit skirt hem gracefully reveals leg contours, and when sitting down, paired with the fan and hand gestures, both upper-body curves and legs are showcased beautifully. The mood on set was genuinely joyous. The photographer continuously guided me in adjusting angles—placing hands in the most natural positions, holding the fan effortlessly, and elongating leg lines. We kept communicating throughout to pinpoint the most striking compositions. By the way, the tattoo on my instep and the anklet were also prepared to stay true to character details; while viewers might not catch every small detail at first glance, the irreplaceable fulfillment of knowing every detail aligns is unmatched.

Finishing this photo set left me with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. The costume's layered depth and its seamless fusion with the scene exceeded my initial expectations. I hope sharing this record today lets everyone feel the unique charm of this character.
