Starting from the core concept of "having a blue dream in a white bathtub," set staging for this shoot actually took a lot of thought. The overall color palette was deliberately desaturated, using large areas of cool white and Klein blue as the main visual tones to present a fantasy, serene atmosphere distinct from everyday life.

The core visual anchor in the set was that white bathtub, but to fit the theme, it wasn't filled with real water. Instead, it was padded with thick white plush blankets, with leafy white lilies and green branches placed in orderly clutter as embellishments. Combined with highly atmospheric dry ice fog, it instantly created a misty, ethereal sense of cold solitude deep inside a dream. The crystal chandelier and white Roman pillars in the background added great depth and layering to the frame, while dry branches broke the monotony of large solid-color backgrounds, adding a touch of fragile beauty.

The costume featured a classic Blue and white outfit. To express an airy feel, the fabric choice had to be lightweight and breathable. The upper half mainly used a patchworking of chiffon and semi-transparent organza, and the striking crescent-shaped metal accessory on the chest had great texture, keeping the pure white top from looking plain. The pair of white feather headpieces on top of the head was the finishing touch. The hair was black with wine-red highlights, paired with natural blunt bangs, adding a hint of playful youthful sweetness beyond the cool solitude. In terms of details, the white strap designs on the arms and legs were highlights of this styling, visually elongating the proportions and giving the originally vertical garment silhouette more room to breathe.

During shooting, to interact well with the set, I tried different expressions and physical poses. The earlier shots with eyes closed in restful sleep, curling up while holding my knees with both hands, were mainly to portray a quiet, isolated solitude. Paired with dim facial side lighting, my skin tone showed a porcelain-white, translucent texture, making me seem immersed in an undisturbed dream. The final shot where I opened my eyes and raised both hands above my head was meant to show a vivid side of the character—gazing directly into the camera lens to break the previous tranquility, giving the entire photoshoot more narrative emotional dynamics.

Lighting control was very restrained—rather than using wide strong light to illuminate the entire background, spotlights directed the key light onto the subject, while the surrounding ambient light remained extremely soft and dim. This created a strong sense of depth of field while allowing the character and cool-toned outfit to stand out prominently in the frame. The entire session used a large-aperture prime lens; the plush texture at the tub's edge, the sheer garment weave, and fine hair strands were all rendered crisply.

Shooting this kind of Atmospheric cosplay requires refined details in costume and makeup, as well as high synergy with set design. Curling up inside a dry bathtub for a long time indeed made my limbs feel a bit sore and numb, but seeing the final images, the intricate strap wrappings, the weight of the feather headpieces, and the fatigue of holding a pose for long periods all melted away into this quiet, romantic ambiance.
