[La Pluma cosplay] Arknights Swimsuit Location Shoot: Summer Poolside Diary with Tequila

The weather today was tailored for outdoor photography; though the sun was intense, the luminous natural light glancing off the pool delivered an authentic summer atmosphere. The focus of this session was capturing the summer Swimsuit cosplay skins of La Pluma and Tequila from Arknights. Embodying La Pluma, I wore a deep navy-black cropped wig accented with feather hair clips and a yellow hairband, dressed in a white bikini layered under a light blue long-sleeved rash guard parka. A clear visor mask hung loosely at my collar, carefully tailored to replicate the canon aesthetic. My partner @千乐乐乐乐 portrayed Tequila—featuring short blonde locks fitted with plush bear-ear hairbands, aviator sunglasses propped on the forehead, and an athletic windbreaker color-blocked in navy, white, and emerald over a deep blue base.

Shooting on location posed distinct technical hurdles. Water surfaces and architectural glass facades generated intense glare, frequently risking blown-out facial highlights, prompting us to constantly reorient our shooting angles. Standing side by side, our height difference and physical proportions naturally channeled the cozy Brother and sister cosplay chemistry. For La Pluma's makeup, I deepened the eye contours and used light-toned contact lenses to enhance translucency, paired with sun-kissed terracotta blush to evoke a warm sunburn aesthetic. Tequila's makeup emphasized sharp brow-and-eye definition with a fair complexion, anchored by vivid azure contact lenses for commanding visual impact.

The trickiest aspect of these swimsuits lay in the jacket textiles and surface coverage. Shooting outdoors in sweltering heat while bundled in light outerwear meant sweating, demanding constant powder touch-ups and wig repositioning. To ensure organic body language, we cycled through varied poses—such as the classic peace signs in frame one and the intimate, wide-angle selfie perspective in frame two. Close-range framing severely tests micro-expression control, easily stiffening under scrutiny. Fortunately, my partner is seasoned; bouncing energy off each other before the lens yielded plenty of spontaneous, charming captures.

Overall, the chromatic presentation of this summer shoot is deeply satisfying. The light blue parka and crisp white swimwear read breezy against the pool's azure waters, while Tequila's bold green-and-blue panels introduced vibrant visual rhythm. Architectural reflections glinting across the aviator sunglasses injected authentic urban lifestyle realism. From initial wig carving and weft thinning to on-set makeup adjustments, pose coaching, and final curation, every step aimed to capture that leisurely summer ease while honoring core character temperament. Teaming up with a trusted partner to realize this sibling duo was a thoroughly fulfilling and joyful creative journey.

During indoor prep, styling La Pluma's wig alone took considerable effort: feathering the flipped ends and teasing the crown required heavy texturizing pomade and freeze spray to ensure it wouldn't collapse in the outdoor breeze. To complement the white butterfly and feather pins, I picked accessories with subtle pearlescent sheen to catch the sunlight with delicate highlights. The clear mask strap was rather stiff, requiring patient adjustment for a comfortable drape around the neck. While summer location shoots come with extreme heat and persistent touch-ups, seeing the vivid palette and vibrant character dynamics in the finished frames makes every bit of sweat worth it.
