[La Pluma cosplay] Christmas Eve in Arknights Unrealized Realities: Sharing Warm Casual Shots

Releasing this Arknights Unrealized Realities La Pluma cosplay photoshoot on Christmas Eve. The blue top is made of a silk-like fabric with a high-luster sheen, but it is extremely delicate—sitting down for even a little while causes creases, so I had to sit very gingerly during the shoot and steam it during breaks. The ruffles at the neckline and chest are well-crafted and multi-layered; once smoothed out, they look remarkably crisp. The white ribbon at the neckline is tied into a standard bow, echoing nicely with the oversized sleeves featuring fine blue-and-white stripes at the cuffs. The large white apron is made of thicker cotton fabric, creating a cleaner look against the blue base. Because there were many fabric ruffles to straighten out in the styling, coordinating with the photographer took a good amount of time.

The short brown wig was very lightweight, and that ahoge (cowlick) on top was particularly fun—keeping it upright required plenty of hair wax and setting spray, and it turned out looking natural in the photos. To match the character's temperament, I opted for a clear, lightweight makeup style: a sheer base foundation with softly smudged warm-brown eye makeup and light amber contact lenses to make the gaze look gentler. Since it was shot indoors, the blush and lip makeup were chosen in warm tones so the face wouldn't be overwhelmed by the cool blue clothing.

The shooting location was chosen in a lighting store. The large round red lamps, small orange lights, and glowing cubes in the background gave the entire frame a warm, vivid winter atmosphere, creating a striking visual contrast with the cool palette of the Maid outfit. Because we shot through a layer of glass, the photographer and I experimented back and forth many times to dodge messy reflections while using the soft glass reflections to enrich the narrative depth. Resting my hand on the glass or gently curling my fingers helped make the character's poses more vivid and natural, conveying a sense of quiet observation and gentle detachment.

Christmas Eve is a special moment, and I'm truly happy to share this set of finished photos. Although it wasn't an outdoor snow scene, this indoor studio shoot bathed in warm light suited the festive atmosphere even better. This shoot differed from previous ones by focusing much more on mood and ambiance—expressing the Operator's quiet, everyday life through lighting and reflections. Although the day of the shoot was quite cold, seeing the warm, cozy frames in the viewfinder made the chill fade away. In the new year, I hope to stay true to my passion in cosplay, challenge more styles, and weave my own ideas into every project.
