This time, I'm presenting a piece for the Arknights Creator Support Project featuring Momoka Hanyuu, incorporating elements associated with Haruka and Haruka Shino. The overall color palette for this look focuses on pink, mint green, and monochrome black-and-white base tones.
For the wig, I selected a base wig with subtle pink gradient tones. When cutting and styling the bangs and sideburns, I maintained gentle curves while blending fine glitters throughout the fibers. To match the elf character concept, I wore pointed prosthetic ears (Elf ears cosplay), seamlessly blending the edges with scar wax to ensure the ear contours appeared completely natural from all shooting angles.
In terms of makeup, I chose pink-toned contact lenses and swept pink eyeshadow across a wide area around the eyes, deepening the outer corners for definition. The cheeks were accented with a delicate beauty mark and fine shimmer to add visual texture to the face. The lips were kept in a soft, gentle pastel pink to avoid overwhelming the look. Around the neck, I tied a large mint green bow scarf, echoing the matching bow hair accessory worn on top of the head.
Looking at the garment details, the outer sheer white overlay is airy and lightweight, knotted at the chest to flatter the waistline. The black cropped top worn underneath coordinates with the base color of the tiered black bubble skirt. The skirt features alternating ruffled tiers of black, mint green, and white to build dimensional depth. Metallic chains and charms along the belt add an edgy, structured accent, while striped ribbons and white plush pom-poms pinned at the waist make the overall ensemble even more intricate. As for accessories, the crossbody red heart bag serves as an eye-catching focal color pop, balancing the soft harmony of pink and mint green.
To complement the pure white studio backdrop, we used dual lights to illuminate the background with a front softbox as the key light. A plain white backdrop can easily flatten the subject, so during the shoot, I continuously adjusted my posture to create three-dimensional space within the frame. For instance, the first photo features making a heart with both hands at the chest alongside a playful wink, emphasizing open arm and finger lines paired with an approachable, charming expression. In the second photo, I tilted my head slightly, touching one hand softly to my cheek while extending the other hand outward. This posture not only highlighted the outfit's structure, but also introduced dynamic movement into a still image. Tilting sideways additionally showed off the skirt's distinct ruffles and the chain accessories at the hip.
The core objective of this shoot was utilizing color harmony and posture to make the character stand out against an uncluttered background. Without distracting environmental elements, all visual attention is drawn to the interplay of the wig, makeup, and costume styling. The addition of the red heart bag anchors the visual focus, while the elf ears enhance the anime-fantasy appeal. The entire shoot went smoothly, with poses thoughtfully arranged to highlight every nuance of the costume design.
