Today, I'm sharing this photo set taken in a charming vintage alleyway. As a cosplay of Momoka Hanyuu from Arknights, this shooting experience felt truly special, set in an afternoon tea spot brimming with rich ambiance.
First, let's talk about the styling. The wig transitions in a gradient from pink-orange to soft pale pink; keeping its airy volume required plenty of effort, and the brown ribbon hairpiece at the crown served as a key visual anchor. For makeup, the focus rested on reddish-brown contact lenses paired with soft blush, subtly elongating the eye shape to capture the character's gentle yet playful demeanor.
Regarding the wardrobe, the inner piece features a high-neck design color-blocked with red-and-black plaid against white, where the black neckline bow and lace trim enhanced delicate refinement, paired with a golden chain belt around the waist. To build layered texture, I selected a brown striped knit cardigan, deliberately letting it drape lazily off one shoulder. This flattered the lines of the neck and shoulders, preventing the composition from feeling static in this plaid skirt cosplay.
The shooting location was set along a warmly decorated vintage alleyway lined with wooden bookshelves, stacks of vintage books, clear glassware, and potted greenery, with Christmas baubles suspended above. To lean into the afternoon tea date concept, I immersed myself directly into the scene. Leaning against the bookshelves to flip through pages, sitting before the dining table gazing at the red rose napkin folds and silver cutlery set upon the white tablecloth, or glancing back over my shoulder through the alleyway—each gesture was choreographed to capture varied facets of the character waiting in quiet contemplation.
To nail that glancing-back moment, I held the pose for quite a while; my neck and shoulders were undeniably stiff, but seeing the final frames made every bit of effort worthwhile. Right on the camera preview screen, the shots already radiated exquisite texture—the collision between vintage tones and the red-and-black plaid skirt yielded a result I'm genuinely delighted with. I hope everyone loves this creative share, and I look forward to unlocking more diverse styles and looks down the line.
