[Tamamo no Mae cosplay] Fate Mythological Mystic Code of the Sun, Tamamo-no-Mae's gorgeous debut

This time shooting the Tamamo no Mae Mythological Mystic Code of the Sun took a lot of thought from costume preparation to scene construction. When I first got the outfit, my initial impression was that the accessories were extremely cumbersome. The golden circular badge on the chest, the accented silver chains and tassels all needed to be carefully adjusted in position when wearing; a slight carelessness would make it look messy. The black crop top inner wear combined with white harem pants, plus wide golden bracers and boots, created a very strong visual contrast in the overall styling. The wig was chosen to be a vibrant pink, paired with fluffy animal ears. To match this lively yet somewhat enchanting setting, the makeup specially deepened the eye contours, highlighting the sharpness of the gaze.

The shooting venue was arranged into a retro and mysterious attic style. The background was dark red wallpaper with gorgeous classical patterns, with a large number of crystal bead strings and golden chains hanging from above, and the floor was covered with a thick white plush carpet. Retro books, golden feathers, candles, and white skull models were scattered around. Such a complex scene is actually a big challenge for photography because too many elements easily steal the visual focus. Therefore, in the choice of camera positions and composition, we heavily used medium and close-up shots to ensure that the character is always the absolute center of the frame.

During the shooting process, the use of props was the key. Holding a round fan with red and white patterns, or waving long yellow and red silk ribbons, required high coordination of movements. The ribbons easily blocked the face or wrapped around the body in front of the lens; we tried back and forth many times to catch an angle that was both relaxed and not stiff. To showcase the charm of the Mythological Mystic Code, the poses were also made as diverse as possible, from sitting cross-legged, half-squatting, to holding a fan with one hand and handing out a rose, hoping to show the character's confident and composed, yet slightly playful personality traits. Although this costume looked gorgeous, those metal accessories had a pulling feeling when movements were large, requiring constant pauses to adjust. Coupled with the heavy wig, shooting the entire session was a severe test of physical stamina.

The cooperation of light and shadow was crucial in this shoot. To highlight the texture of the golden accessories, we added a warm yellow light source on the side, hitting the metal and sequined fabric to create a gorgeous yet mysterious atmosphere. The sequin-material props around reflected colorful spots of light under the illumination, matching the red background, making the color saturation of the entire picture extremely high. Sitting in it, it felt like truly being in a fantasy different dimension. Although the whole process was exhausting, seeing the finished photos from these different perspectives, every detail was well presented, whether it was the waist-exposed design or the overall silhouette of the costume, achieving the expected effect.
