[Saber cosplay] A Perfect Recreation of Elegance and Majesty from the Fate Series

Preparing and shooting this Saber look took quite a lot of effort. To recreate the character's elegance and majesty, hair and makeup standards were demanding. The wig was carefully curled and styled into an updo accented with deep blue ribbons; securing and maintaining the style took considerable preparation. For makeup, the eyeliner and lip shade underwent repeated adjustments to match the aloof, cool demeanor while keeping the facial contours crisp and clean.

Selecting the material for the blue dress took time—the bodice offers a tailored fit, and the white embroidery along the skirt hem is remarkably fine, looking textured under studio lights. To accentuate the character's allure, I paired it with long black gloves and a pair of red-bottom high heels. Clad in black stockings and red-bottom heels, the leg lines appeared exceptionally slender under cool lighting, naturally exuding an imposing presence.

The set design was grand. Saturated red lighting in the background cast across white withered trees and white birdcages, creating striking visual contrast. Seated on a black Gothic throne while holding that heavy greatsword, I had to align my shoulders and neck to keep an upright, regal posture. The photographer specifically used side-rim lighting, casting cool white illumination across skin and hair to complement the aloof and elegant presence.

To convey varied emotions, beyond the throne's fierce sovereignty, I also explored a melancholic mood looking downward beside a piano. During the shoot, precisely controlling leg angles to highlight the texture of the heels and black stockings left my waist and legs aching, but seeing the final images showcase the character's distinctive aura made every bit of effort worthwhile.
