Standing on the Persian carpet filled with gold coins while holding a talisman, that long wait in Chaldea suddenly felt relieved. Seven years is enough time for version updates to roll through, but when the light of the enhancement quest lights up, the confidence of being an Arts support finally comes back. Actually, deciding to shoot the Mythological Mystic Code this time was also to express that gorgeous yet poised state, and to materialize the obsession with that line: "Release a set first."
The design of the Mythological Mystic Code itself is full of exotic charm and a sense of wealth, with many details in the costume, makeup, and props that required meticulous care. The golden armor piece on the chest has a lot of weight, and the green gemstone and white thick rope knot on it are the visual center. To secure them well, a lot of hidden straps were processed inside to ensure they wouldn't shift when striking various big poses. The wide golden belt at the waist paired with golden tassels has a great draping feel when walking. The white harem pants on the lower body chose a fabric with a slight glossy feel so that they look more textured under the warm light of the studio. The wide golden wrist guards on both arms and ankles are the finishing touch, which, combined with red nail polish, maxes out the overall gorgeousness.
In terms of makeup and styling, the signature pink long hair was paired with blunt bangs that flatter the face shape, and the eye makeup deliberately deepened the red blending, aiming to highlight that cunning yet slightly proud fox trait a bit. The part that took the most effort was actually the pair of animal ears and the fluffy tail; to capture a fluffy and realistic texture, I kept using my hands to tease and adjust the edges on-site to ensure fluffiness. The wig styling also used quite a bit of setting spray to maintain a perfect curve in front of the lens.
The choice of the studio backdrop was also thoughtfully done: the luxuriously gold-adorned high-backed throne, the retro wooden treasure chest, and the warm yellow fabric curtains all complement the gorgeousness of this Mythological Mystic Code very well. During the shoot, although the scattered gold coin props underfoot enhanced the atmosphere, sitting cross-legged barefoot or half-kneeling made the metal edges a bit prickly. However, when the main light hit and the reflection of the golden armor completely achieved the expected effect, that little pain was thrown to the back of the mind.
This time I tried several different postures, whether lazily lying on the side on the carpet to display the tail or lightly holding a talisman inked with brush marks between fingertips, hoping to showcase that feeling of Tamamo no Mae being able to hold her own in battle while possessing her own charm. Especially the close-up holding the talisman paired with the gaze made me feel like I was truly in that glittering treasure room. The shooting experience of this Mythological Mystic Code was wonderful, and I hope everyone likes this gorgeous and languid presentation.
