The Convention photos for these two Tamamo no Mae cosplay looks presented at the FGO 10th Anniversary Fes are finally sorted out. Let's dive into the details of these convention shots.

The first version, featuring dark blue spliced with oversized black sleeves, offers a classic fox-girl aesthetic visually. The off-the-shoulder upper cut accented with white piping and a golden corset sculpts the neckline and shoulders beautifully, preventing the volume of the large sleeves from overwhelming the torso. The short skirt hem paired with Black pantyhose visually elongates leg proportions, and under venue lighting, the subtle sheen of the hosiery adds depth to the overall silhouette. While the platform open-toe sandals were comfortable for walking around the convention hall, for photos aiming at ultra-slender proportions, they did make the lower half look slightly heavy, which was a minor angle detail requiring careful attention during the shoot.

The second look, featuring black-and-gold cutouts paired with a mini top hat, leaned toward a bold and cool style. Replacing the original large sleeves with grayish-black ruffled arm sleeves allowed for nimble arm mobility. This outfit incorporates numerous straps and cutout elements, requiring extra care when putting it on and taking it off. It also demands a snug fit to the body, especially around the shoulder straps, which could easily slip if tension wasn't properly dialed in. The metallic ring accents at the top of the over-the-knee socks served not only as a striking visual highlight but also as a functional feature, securely holding the socks in place and saving me the hassle of constantly pulling them up between takes.

The fluffy oversized ears and tail remained the soul of both looks. The wig featured long straight pink hair, with bangs trimmed precisely to flatter the forehead and face shape. The internal skeletal support of the large ears was very sturdy, remaining perfectly aligned even when navigating crowded convention hallways or executing broad turns. The tail was densely packed with faux fur, offering delightful fluffiness that gave the entire styling an ethereal yet subtly relaxed charm. For makeup, to complement the pink hair and anime aesthetics of Fate/Grand Order, the base was kept luminous and sheer, focusing on elongating the outer corners of the eyes with peachy-pink eyeshadows. The lip shade was chosen as a natural rose-dust pink, emphasizing softness and agility without heavy contouring that might disrupt facial smoothness.

The shooting environment helped tremendously: abundant cool-toned blue-cyan LED strips paired with reflective mirrored flooring crafted a futuristic atmosphere merging sci-fi aesthetics with the 2D world. In Photo 3 in particular, standing directly in front of the illuminated circular lightbox with light beaming from behind sculpted a sharp rim silhouette across the black outfit and grayish-black sleeves, creating rich layering. Although both sets were shot within the same hall, variations in angles and lighting yielded completely distinct atmospheric impressions.

When shooting these two looks, the greatest challenge was navigating the massive foot traffic at the exhibition. Moving through crowds with oversized sleeves and a long tail required extreme care to avoid bumping into passing visitors or having the skirt hem stepped on. Nonetheless, wearing this Tamamo no Mae cosplay to shoot at the FGO 10th Anniversary commemorative event made the entire experience deeply meaningful. Transitioning between the two outfits involved restyling the wig and readjusting the angle of the beast ears; thankfully, the wig and ear attachments were firmly anchored, avoiding any awkward hair clinging. Complemented by the lighting, the fabric textures and detail fidelity thoroughly met expectations. That wraps up my reflections on sharing these two Tamamo no Mae cosplay looks from the FGO 10th Anniversary Fes Convention photos session.
