Preparing for this Tamamo no Mae cosplay with the Mythical Craft Essence took quite a long time. From matching the beast ears to fixing the gold ornaments, every detail was an attempt to recreate that gorgeous, mythical feeling. The outfit from the original setting is highly intricate; many metallic ornaments and fabric stitchings required repeated adjustments to ensure they looked great on camera without restricting my movement. This time, to achieve a dreamy and warm vibe, we specially selected warm-toned lighting, combined with a golden birdcage, picture frames, and tulle, giving the entire frame a texture akin to an afternoon dreamscape. The wig is a custom-colored pink one, with special layering applied. A lot of effort went into the fox tail and ears to capture the true charm of a Kemonomimi girl, making them feel extremely fluffy to the touch, but wearing them in a hot studio was quite a test of physical endurance.

For the first photo, I chose a prone position, which actually tested my core strength heavily. My wrists got a bit sore after supporting me for so long, but to capture that lazy yet slightly cunning look in my eyes, we took many shots back and forth. The kneeling angle in the second picture is also very unique, which beautifully showcases the details on the back of the costume. The white sleeves and green trim of this outfit have a strong sense of layering, and with the golden armlets and anklets, it felt quite heavy visually, but the resulting photos look stunningly brilliant. The placement of the reflector during this Cosplay photography session was also critical; it not only had to brighten my face but also balance the shadow edges of the fox ears to make the material texture look more three-dimensional.

The post-processing color grading also leaned toward an oil-painting-like warm golden tone, while preserving the original pure white of the garment as much as possible. With every location or studio shoot, I always want to capture the character's aura more accurately—not just a physical resemblance, but hoping to convey her actual demeanor. Although packing and putting on this outfit takes a lot of effort, seeing the gorgeous and vivid atmosphere in the final photos makes all the hard work worth it. I hope this post lets everyone appreciate the exquisite design details of this Mythical Craft Essence. Although I almost got a cramp trying to pull off these poses during the shoot, the final effect is truly wonderful!
