The Psychologist's Everlasting Night skin in Identity V has always exuded a mysterious and slightly dangerous charm, and this time I finally got the chance to bring this look into reality. The core makeup and styling revolved around black, red, and white. White hair was paired with light purple contact lenses, complemented by star and flower face paintings under the eyes. To match the deep, cool elegance of Everlasting Night, the presence in my eyes needed to balance the throne's regal splendor. The costume used glossy patent leather paired with subtle pattern lace panels; the black rose embellishment at the neckline and the black mesh veil on top gave the overall look a rich visual weight without feeling suffocating, avoiding the dullness of a plain black dress.

The set for this photoshoot was built with incredible detail. A golden carved throne with red velvet cushions set the foundation for dark aristocratic luxury, while two white Roman pillars, draped red silk ribbons, and scattered rose petals on the ground beautifully blended gothic elegance with a subtly eerie atmosphere. Props were chosen with great care—skulls, a small silver crown, a golden birdcage, and vintage candlesticks scattered across different corners of the frame, turning the scene into a story-driven, immersive space rather than a flat backdrop.

To capture different facets of this skin's personality, I experimented with various angles and poses during the shoot. There was the arrogant, composed look of sitting cross-legged on the throne, accentuating a glamorous visual impact through fishnet stockings and layered black skirts; a relaxed slump in the chair, playing with a skull while making a shushing gesture, creating that game-accurate sense of controlling the situation with a touch of playful mockery; the quiet elegance of standing while holding flowers; and even an inverted composition lying on the floor with legs raised, breaking the conventional poise to add a chaotic, absurd beauty.

In recreating game characters, the hardest thing to capture is that aura straddling humanity and something non-human. The Psychologist carries a rich story herself, and the Everlasting Night skin grants her an almost eternal night of solitude and grace. Wearing the translucent black veil, even without a heavy mask, the sense of mystery and detachment naturally flowed through eye makeup and atmospheric props.

Looking at the full cosplay photography set, what I'm most satisfied with is the light and shadow processing. Instead of flat lighting, the photographer intentionally created contrast between highlights and dark shadows on the backdrop, giving wonderful texture feedback to the sequins and patent leather on the black dress, the golden throne armrests, and even silver strands in the hair. This dark-toned, high-contrast lighting perfectly matches the atmosphere of everlasting night in the official skin design. Although I maintained a cold, distant demeanor during the shoot, my mind was constantly recalling the character's traits in game. From makeup and styling to scene setup and shooting, every element aligned smoothly, delivering a complete picture of Everlasting Night cosplay as envisioned in my heart.
