[Hayase Yuuka cosplay] Blue Archive

This Hayase Yuuka photoshoot came together quite hastily; since it coincided with Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo, I decided to channel the vibrant convention atmosphere for a quick shoot. The outfit is a classic black-and-gold modified qipao, accented by a handwritten tag and a small orange flower at the chest, layered beneath that eye-catching, loose-fitting blue jacket. To echo the character's meticulous, calculating nature, I brought along a large grey suitcase as an interactive prop. We chose the streets outside the convention hall as our location—the cool twilight blue hour at dusk creates a stunning ambiance on camera. The photographer brought a Sony A7M4 paired with a Tamron 35-100mm lens; the spatial compression from the telephoto focal length rendered the background architecture and street traffic into smooth, organic bokeh. In the photos, my hair is styled into purple twin buns accented by black headphone accessories, holding a round silk fan painted with red blossoms. While the qipao looks sleek and tailored, its high side slit combined with high heels made standing for long takes quite exhausting. The pose in Photo 1—leaning against the suitcase with legs crossed—was primarily designed to elongate visual vertical lines while highlighting the golden vine embroidery across the fabric. In Photo 2, holding up the fan with one hand while parting the blue jacket with the other was meant to inject kinetic motion and contrast the layered depth between the inner and outer garments. The overall makeup was kept fresh and translucent, focusing on eye dimension that harmonized beautifully with the purple wig under the cool evening light. The biggest challenge of street photography is dodging pedestrians and passing vehicles, which demands constantly seizing fleeting gaps. Fortunately, the natural dusk light was phenomenal, and the urban cityscape balanced the 2D aesthetic with real-world texture. These photos avoided heavy post-processing effects, preserving the authentic interplay of light and shadow from that evening. I am personally very pleased with the outcome; it felt like we genuinely captured her blend of strict precision and gentle grace.
