This time, I shot a Little Busters! Natsume Rin cosplay in a locker room set. My understanding of Rin is that she has a somewhat aloof exterior, but a tender heart underneath and deeply relies on her friends. To match this setting, I deliberately chose a campus locker room and sports equipment room as the backdrop. The surroundings—grey lockers, red-and-white boundary rods, and a basket of volleyballs—fit her School uniform and campus daily life perfectly. For the outfit, I wore the classic white short-sleeved shirt with an oversized pink ribbon bow, paired with a grey-and-white plaid pleated skirt, over-the-knee Black stockings, and brown sneakers, topped with brown Animal ears and bell ornaments, making for a satisfyingly faithful recreation. The most enjoyable part was working with props: several cat figures and a baseball, matching Rin's canonical love for cats and baseball. For instance, Photo 1 features a composition blocking part of my face with a white cat, while Photo 2 shows me seated on the floor, surrounded by cats as if they were dear friends. Photo 3 captures an extended-leg pose holding up a baseball, which highlights the leg line nicely; the texture of the Black stockings against the plaid skirt creates dynamic visual tension. In post-processing, I mainly adjusted the environmental color grading to soften the lighting and emphasize a youthful, girlish vibe. I practiced my expressions extensively beforehand—gazing languidly at the lens at times, or gripping the baseball with playful mischief at others. The shoot was wonderful, and blending cat props with volleyball and baseball elements turned out even better than expected. Balancing Rin's inner aura with exterior details was key; I hope these photos convey her slightly clumsy yet earnestly hardworking spirit, allowing viewers to feel her innocence and stubbornness in Little Busters!. The bonds of friendship and poignant undertones in the story naturally guided my emotions, bringing a quiet focus and calm to my expression rather than deliberate melancholy. The studio's warm lighting falling across the wooden floor, plaid skirt, and subtle sheen of the Black stockings gave the final photos a wonderfully delicate texture.
