This Caelus cosplay photoshoot was set in an indoor studio, composed entirely around an everyday Campus style aesthetic. To recreate the iconic mood of Sky of Destiny, the wig was chosen in a cool-toned, platinum-blonde long straight style. Pale wigs easily wash out under bright studio strobes, so styling preparation took considerable care: controlling hair sheen relied heavily on lighting angles, and the height and volume of the Twintails were adjusted repeatedly. The ends tangled easily, requiring thorough detangling after every single sequence.

For makeup, the focus was placed on enlarging the eyes, with dramatic lashes and eyeshadow complemented by prominent blush to convey that aloof, slightly bewildered expression. Heavy concealer and setting powder were applied to the base to withstand the powerful studio lights. Throughout the shoot, I cradled the long-eared grey bunny plush—a pivotal prop whose soft texture added visual storytelling whether held close, carried by the ears, or rested on the desk.

The outfit featured a crisp white blouse spliced with red-and-grey plaid lapels, paired with a matching plaid pleated skirt and opaque Black stockings. To project that casual, languid attitude, the first pose had me perched atop a vintage wooden desk with one foot resting on the chair back. Capturing the most flattering lines of the skirt hem and hosiery required the photographer to hold a low-angle perspective for quite some time. This posture demanded substantial core strength to lean back while keeping leg lines natural and relaxed. Because Black stockings catch glare under intense lighting, I constantly shifted leg angles to dodge unflattering specular highlights.

Subsequent sequences moved to the chairs, lounging across the desktop or sitting cross-legged while hugging the bunny plush. The great advantage of studio shooting is complete lighting control: to highlight the texture of the Black stockings and the pleat details of the skirt, we used soft frontal fill paired with gentle rim lighting, lending skin a radiant, translucent finish. During the session, we also placed a school bag beneath the desk and dangled the bunny plush mid-air to layer in narrative depth. The pairing of the white blouse and plaid skirt is timeless, with crisp, sharp collar points unifying the clean aesthetic.

The Twintails easily shifted out of place during movement, keeping the assistant and makeup artist on standby for continuous touch-ups. I was thoroughly pleased with the final selects; classic classroom fixtures like desks and chairs resonated naturally with the character persona. Unlike outdoor locations, shooting indoors eliminates worries about weather or passersby, making it easier to lock into intimate emotional close-ups—such as the final shot resting on the desk, where the nuanced gaze reads far more powerfully than in wide shots. Regarding the harmony between the hosiery and the overall look, the full-coverage Black stockings reflected studio light evenly and formed a striking contrast against the white shirt, proving to be one of the most satisfying styling elements of this shoot.
