[Tsukatsuki Rio cosplay] Cool daily life in Blue Archive: Collision of a black suit and a glowing halo

This time, I'm sharing Tsukatsuki Rio's outfit from Blue Archive. The focus is on recreating that cool yet slightly mysterious daily atmosphere.

For the top, I chose a sharp, slightly oversized black suit jacket paired with a pure white turtleneck base shirt. The stark black-and-white base color palette works exceptionally well on camera, easily defining the upper body structure. The bottom is a black high-waisted pleated miniskirt, where the folds create different shadow layers whether standing or sitting. Aside from the suit jacket, the absolute visual centerpiece of this entire outfit is the grayish-blue semi-sheer reflective stockings paired with a black leather leg garter around the thigh; this design breaks up and visually elongates the leg line wonderfully.

For footwear, I went with black pointed-toe stiletto pumps with red bottoms. While this combination looks commanding, actual photo taking pushes most of the weight onto the balls of your feet. To match the uniform feel and elite vibe, I equipped a halo with red lighting on top of my head. In practice, you need to firmly pin the thin wire frame with hair clips, otherwise it easily slips out of place with head movements. The halo's battery life is quite decent, and the red light stands out exceptionally well in dark environments.

In terms of posing, I took inspiration from the seated composition in Picture 3. Deliberately slipping off one shoe and hooking the toe under the heel lets the leg muscles remain in a naturally taut state. Combined with the leg garter, it visually flatters the leg shape while adding a relaxed, casual daily vibe. For the mirror selfie, to avoid the distraction of messy bedding, I utilized the depth of the white closet on the right and the spatial framing of the black bedframe on the left. Since camera flashes or frontal light sources create noticeable highlights on the grayish-blue stockings, I slightly dimmed the highlights in post-processing to ensure the texture of the stockings remains sharp.

Straight black long hair is also quite a test in photos—you have to lift and adjust the strands with your hands occasionally, as it can easily blend into the black suit, making the outline of the head lose its 3D depth. The actions of brushing back hair strands in the first and third photos were actually meant to find a sense of relaxed ease in the styling. Although covering the face with a phone prevents showcasing the character's facial expression, this way of preserving mystery actually aligns well with the character's cool and decisive persona. It lets the outfit, leg garter, and glowing halo convey the character's identity to the audience. Overall, this outfit is reasonably comfortable; as long as the halo is secured on top, the photo success rate is very high—especially from slight high-angle or low-angle shots, which showcase the geometric outline of this outfit beautifully.
