Finally got the convention photos of Helektra taken at this comic convention. This outfit has an abundance of details; the color-blocked treatment of dark blue and purplish-red photographs exceptionally well under natural light. The main texture of this costume leans towards a corset, providing strong restraint on the waist and abdomen once worn, so I maintained an upright posture while walking around the convention, which perfectly matches the character's cold and arrogant temperament. The outer tulle sleeves feature complex dark patterns; although breathable, it's still easy to sweat when walking outdoors, so I always kept touch-up tools in my bag, using loose powder to press on my face at any time to ensure the base makeup in front of the lens always remains matte.

The outdoor lighting at the convention site was quite ample, which happened to restore the slightly reflective leather texture of the clothes very well. To ensure my state while taking photos, I tried my best to maintain my posture at the convention, especially wearing this kind of irregular short skirt and black over-the-knee socks—when walking, I had to pay attention to the arc of the skirt hem to avoid looking too messy. To pull off this character well, a lot of thought went into grooming the wig. With a black hair base plus purplish-red highlights, I used styling spray to reshape the edge layers of the hair strands, making the blunt bangs not look rigid and maintaining their shape even when the wind blew.

Regarding props, the sword in my hand was a bit lighter than imagined, but the spike parts of the crossguard were very sharp, so when posing, I had to be careful not to snag the tulle on the sleeves, meaning the grip position on the hilt needed to be very precise. That sword-pointing pose in the fourth photo required wrist strength to stabilize the center of gravity while dropping the shoulders, so that the lines captured wouldn't look rigid.

Since these are convention snapshots, the background inevitably has many passersby. To avoid the messy crowd, I chose to frame the shot slightly off to the side, utilizing depth of field to blur out the pedestrians behind, which helps highlight the main character subject. The third photo was a snapshot of the walking moment, where the natural floating arc of the skirt hem was just right, coupled with the visual effect of the over-the-knee socks—I really like the overall dynamism. The second photo was a snapshot during a brief rest, where the action of adjusting my hair instead brought out a sense of relaxation.

What tests convention snapshots the most is entering the character state quickly in a noisy environment. Helektra's headwear is a bit heavy, with the weight mainly concentrated on the right side, so I consciously adjusted the neck's muscle tension to keep the head balanced. The focus of the gaze during photography is also very important; after wearing blue-purple contact lenses, looking directly into the lens brings a stronger sense of oppression and expressiveness, conveying that unique 2D sharpness.

This set of convention photos achieved the expected effect, showcasing both the character's aloofness and combat posture. Although walking around the convention all day wearing this outfit was quite tiring, seeing the finished photos makes it all feel worth it.
