Bringing these convention photos of Marionette Sandrone to life—from initial pre-production to the final retouched frames—genuinely demanded immense dedication. Every time I hear her voice line regarding 'tea-time diversions' in-game, I always feel her distinctive presence is difficult to fully capture through conventional 2D still photography; hence, I consulted closely with the photographer and VFX artists to explore an aesthetic fusing 3D rendering with holographic effects.

Regarding canon costume fidelity, Sandrone's ensemble features remarkably intricate layering: the black flared skirt, white lace, and crimson accents demand exacting standards for silhouette tailoring and fabric selection when realized in real life. The most challenging element during wear was the golden mechanical structure on the left arm: while constructed from lightweight materials, substantial internal anchoring was engineered to guarantee center-of-gravity stability during movement. The fingertip joints were specially repainted and buffed before the shoot to ensure metallic sheen and crisp specular highlights before the lens. The pairing of white stockings was equally a crowning touch; coordinated with black high heels, maintaining a suspended floating seated posture required sustained core engagement to control leg contours, successfully projecting that weightless yet perilous, icy composure.

In the first image, reaching my hand forward was designed to evoke a sense of breaking the fourth wall, as if actively manipulating an interactive holographic control panel. To simulate floating mid-air, I was actually seated upon a specialized structural rig, leaning forward while engaging my spinal muscles to sustain a poised, upright torso. The angle of my gaze underwent numerous calibrations—it needed a touch of mechanical detachment without forfeiting the character's innate aristocratic poise. The second shot adopted a tilted, low-angle perspective; to complement this dramatic foreshortening, my body weight was shifted entirely toward one flank while keeping my face turned toward the camera. Those colossal crown-like mechanical assemblies in the background were authentic physical sets crafted by our prop master, exaggerated through a wide-angle lens to heighten dynamic proportions.

The multitude of holographic gearworks, cyan-glowing butterflies, and suspended floating UI interfaces along the thighs in the final images were digitally painted by our retouching artists stroke by stroke. To ensure these virtual elements did not detach visually from the subject, I deliberately introduced cyan and cobalt-blue rim lights during the shoot, providing realistic illumination and cast reflections for the luminous elements added in post. The convention shooting window was tightly constrained, and the venue's ambient light was relatively chaotic; to safeguard raw image fidelity and post-production latitude, we utilized softboxes paired with color gels throughout, locking down the foundational atmospheric mood entirely in-camera.

The final output beautifully marries a sci-fi aesthetic with the character's singular presence. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to the lenswork of Xiaomaoting Zhijing, as well as the platform provided by WorldLine Comic-Con, allowing me to fully articulate my creative vision for this character.
