[Entelechia cosplay] Arknights: Raising the Long Scythe in Convention Cosplay event photos

Organizing my archived CPSP photos of Entelechia to share the details of these Cosplay event photos with everyone. The convention environment was relatively crowded and the lighting was complex; the photographer relied entirely on overhead venue lights and surrounding booth illumination to capture the atmosphere. Compared to studio shoots, the main challenge of convention photos lies in avoiding the numerous passersby in the background. The focal point of the entire look was that long-handled scythe—it was much heavier than imagined. Gripping it with one hand strained the wrist significantly, and lifting it one-handed while sustaining expressions demanded serious physical stamina. The glossy red patent leather gloves reflected bright light, forming a crisp contrast against the black attire; the ruffled neckline paired with red eyes and elf ears lent an overall dark and aggressive aesthetic. The bottom half of the skirt features an extremely high slit revealing red satin lining inside, which, paired with a thigh ring and White stockings, brought out that balance of elegance and subtle allure.

Styling the wig took plenty of effort, curling the tips into subtle curves that echoed the shape of the elf ears. Although the red colored contacts looked stunning, wearing them for an extended period caused dryness, requiring eye drops between takes to maintain a clear, piercing gaze. The red decorative straps on the outfit echoed the red trim of the skirt hem, with dominant black anchoring the overall palette while red highlighted visual focal points. The one-legged standing pose in Photo 2 was swiftly captured while lowering my center of gravity during a lull in the crowd, as the scythe was so long it could easily bump into passersby. The head of the long scythe is actually detachable, but for maximum imposing presence, all parts were fully assembled, making it remarkably heavy. My hands were shaking after several takes, and sweating inside the red gloves made them prone to slipping.

The seated pose in Photo 4 allowed the red skirt to spread out completely, creating a sharp visual contrast against the black garment. The White stockings stood out vividly against the black shoes, and the metallic buckle details were captured with crisp clarity. Walking around required extra caution with the red skirt hem, as convention floors could easily dirty the fabric. I discussed with the photographer at length, specifically designing several standing angles to showcase the thigh ring and White stockings details clearly. Because this outfit's silhouette is very unforgiving on body proportions, lifting the waistline was necessary to elongate leg lines, relying entirely on the photographer scouting angles and raising the camera on site to present it flawlessly.

Despite the physical toll and heavy crowds on the day of CPSP, it didn't hinder getting great shots—walking through the convention with such a massive prop drew countless turning heads. The black portions of the costume carried a subtle glossy sheen that reflected wonderfully in darker settings. The white ruffled collar wrinkled easily, requiring constant smoothing before snapping photos. The short black wig on top was firmly set with styling spray, making the red eyes gleam brilliantly in dim lighting. The photographer excelled at capturing dynamic motion, adjusting poses repeatedly to capture the billowing skirt and flowing hair strands. Balancing the heavy scythe while maintaining body stability and an aloof expression genuinely required core balance. Post-processing primarily retouched blurred background passersby, brightened skin tones, and slightly intensified red saturation to heighten the black-and-red visual contrast while preserving the authentic convention lighting. This photo set serves as a deeply satisfying record of this outfit.
