The Aemeath cosplay official photos from Wuthering Waves are finally meeting everyone today.
When I first got this costume, I carefully studied its structure. The white-and-black color-blocked design is extremely layered visually, with the white parts featuring textures resembling mecha or skin-tight combat suits, while the black parts add an overall sense of composure and sexiness. The heart-shaped blue gemstone and golden star-shaped accessories on the chest, along with the complex neckpiece at the collar, have a strong metallic texture under the studio lights. To avoid looking bulky, the inner shaping and waistline tightening were adjusted many times to ensure the body lines remain smooth during the shoot.
Regarding the wig, the pink long hair was trimmed with blunt bangs and thinned out with layers to make it look more natural. The light-blue fin-shaped hair accessory on top of the head is double-fixed to the wig net using hairpins and clear fishing line, and the small floral embellishments on the side also took careful thought to ensure they won't shift when turning the head during shooting. For the makeup part, to fit the character's gentle temperament, I chose warm-toned pink eyeshadow paired with brown contact lenses, elongated eyeliner that isn't overly sharp, and kept the lipstick color as understated as possible, creating a natural and translucent visual effect.
In terms of props, the blue-and-white microphone (or scepter) held in hand requires special attention. The base is white, and beside the blue cylinder at the top are white feather-like structures; angles need to be controlled when holding it to avoid blocking the face. During the shoot, I tried two poses: one is a close-up with hands slightly raised and a playful gesture, and the other is a full-body display with one hand holding it up and the other hand extended horizontally. The full-body pose better showcases the tailoring of the clothes and the gradient cape behind, which transitions from blue to purple-pink with golden star dots, creating a very ethereal feel.
The details of the lower body are a part I personally love very much. The black shorts under the bodysuit are paired with a white pleated skirt hem, and the asymmetric straps and Stockings on the thighs were also meticulously prepared. Angles were intentionally adjusted during the shoot so that the leg lines and strap design could be fully displayed. The pink backdrop paper of the Studio photoshoot, along with white Roman columns and floral ornaments, nicely echo the color coordination of the pink hair and the white-and-black combat suit. The overall lighting adopts high-key soft light, making the picture look bright, clean, and full of dreaminess.
From costume modifications and wig styling to the final presentation in front of the lens, the whole process took quite a lot of time. As an Anime cosplay official photos shoot, I communicated a lot with the photographer regarding action design and expression control, hoping to restore the character's feeling of being both sci-fi and sweet. This attempt went very smoothly, and the overall completion of the pictures met my expectations. Hope everyone likes this set of works.
