[Remilia cosplay] Touhou Project Scarlet Devil Mansion vampire sisters' dark night rose photoset

For this shooting project of the Scarlet Devil Mansion vampire sisters, we put a lot of thought into the set design. To fit the character settings, the venue specially chose a red carpet with vintage patterns, and the floor was covered with dark red roses and petals. The background was paired with gold-stamped books and vintage picture frames. During the shoot, red smoke was also ignited, matching red headlamps, directly maximizing the atmosphere of gothic and dark fairy tales.

In the makeup and styling part, Remilia's pink dress has many layers of lace and pleats, paired with a dark red corset design, which needs to be fixed tightly in the back to present the ideal silhouette. I wore golden neat-bangs short hair and red circle lenses, and the eye makeup used a layered palette of dark red tones, matched with a lace soft hat and gloves, hoping to showcase the arrogance and mystery of a noble young lady. The other coser portraying Flandre Scarlet wore gradient purple hair and bat wing headwear, and the deep red embroidered corset on the chest has a great texture.

The shooting process was more challenging than expected. To highlight the bond between the sisters, we tried the two-person composition in picture 3 for a long time. I maintained a sitting posture while she lay sideways beside me, and we held hands. During the shoot, the photographer kept reminding me to adjust the angle of my chin and my gaze; the red circle lenses required staying focused under the lights to exude that cold yet oppressive tension. Because the skirt hem is very fluffy, lying down easily makes it look bloated, so we adjusted the skirt hem while shooting to find the most suitable angle. Although the red smoke produced great effects, its concentration was hard to control, so we quickly pressed the shutter the moment the smoke dispersed.

The vintage books and picture frames among the props were not just backgrounds; they also participated in the compositional extension of the frame. This shoot gave me a more intuitive feeling of the Scarlet Devil Mansion setting in Touhou Project. Whether it's the complex details of the costumes or the coordination of scene props, sufficient preparation was required. From location scouting and makeup testing to the final lighting test, everyone was fully invested in the whole process. Seeing the color collision of red roses and warm-toned red light in the final photos made all the hard work completely worthwhile.
